Tones, vibrations, notes of joy and sadness, the noise from the A14 that passes my door and the ceaseless sound the twenty first century. Oh....and Syd (RIP), P. Simon Scott debut album "Navigare" is out now on Miasmah Recordings (run by Erik Skodvin from Deaf Center/Svarte Greiner); MIACD011
www.boomkat.com say this:
ALBUM OF THE WEEK!
SIMON SCOTT - Navigare
'Navigare' fully embraces the idea of sound-sculpting whilst retaining the more suggestively song-driven impetus of Scott's past. Another great entry into Miasmah's rock-solid catalogue, and a wonderfully rich ambient record in its own right - one whose residual echoes of a shoegaze past give it an appeal that transcends the usual parameters of drone music".

:They say "Navigare is another masterful addition to their catalogue. Miasmah rules the (air)waves".
10/10 Review "Navigare" from www.fluid-radio.co.uk:
"Every now and then an album rises up from under the radar that has me engrossed to the point that it feels almost impossible to pen my thoughts and feelings. And so it is with Simon Scott’s new release ‘Navigare’ soon to be released on the Miasmah label. Being a huge fan of all things Miasmah and seeing how they have managed to produce breathtaking releases from day one, I was intrigued to discover that Simon was back in the studio constructing the next Miasmah offering, and also fascinated to see if he would be able to provide the label with a worthy composition befitting to the strong back catalogue already in place. ‘Navigare‘ has managed to do just that and so much more".
.... as we approach the end of the ‘Navigare‘ tale the listener is left in a state of exultation knowing they have just listened to what has to be one of the best Miasmah releases to date. 10/10
Review by Daniel Crossley – Fluid Radio"
OUT NOW:::: A hard drive sound file contribution to the Machinefabriek collaboration with Gareth Davis called "Soundlines". 3inch cd out on the Machinefabriek label plus an exclusive remix ("splinter 7" from the ep "Splinters"):
"Further adding to the acousmatic soundscape is Slowdive member Simon Scott, whose contributions are difficult to quantify (he's credited with "Other [Sounds]"), though whatever he's doing, he's clearly done it right - nothing on this record is out of place and the assembled artists collectively evoke the kind of haunted imaginary universe you'd hear on something like Svarte Greiner's Knive. Highly recommended".
