Objektivity's next release comes courtesy of Marlow and Mo'Joe. "Look Over Feel" is a chugging, low-fi, sample-happy groove. Dennis Ferrer adds his touch with a tool that will rock any dancefloor. Gorge and André Hommen's monster tune "Marashi" on the flip finally makes it onto this vinyl release. Played and charted by such DJ's as Ben Klock, Solomun, Dennis Ferrer, Nick Curly, Koljah, Motorcitysoul, Marc Romboy, buy this on wax for the true analogue experience.
Objektivity looks across the pond for it's forthcoming digital only release. First stop is Mannheim, Germany with a killer track from Gorge of 8 Bit Records who teams up with Andre Hommen for a grooving, chunky rendition of the new German house music sound. DJ Ino from Spain delivers "Triple X" a track that DF has been playing out for over a year always with maximum impact.
Berlin based Greek producer Argy has been making a name for himself with his “Focus on: Argy” album for Poker Flat, releases on Raum, Cocooon, Liebe Details and collaborations with Jerome Sydenham. The Martinez Brothers previously worked with Dennis Ferrer on their debut single (also released on Objektivity) - of Argy they say - “We admire his work, so to be able to collaborate with him was amazing... The chemisty we had in the studio was off the hook, and it definetly shows in 'Debbie Downer'.” It appears the dance music world agrees with them as the tune is already in the boxes of many respected DJs like Dubfire and Sebo K.
Norwegian songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Ane Brun is a rising star. With two Norwegian Grammy's for Best Female Artist and Song Of The Year in 2005, her most recent and third studio album "Changing Of The Seasons" entering the Norwegian charts at 1 and the Swedish charts at 2 the future looks very bright for her. Additionally songs from her three albums, “Spending time with Morgan,” “A Temporary Dive” and “Duets” have gained significant critical attention and appeal far beyond her Scandinavian base.
Now Brun has connected with one of the most exciting New York
Independent dance music label’s . Dennis Ferrer’s - Objektivity. Ferrer has
gathered an international cast of some of today's leading house and techno
producers to take the works of Brun one step further. The aptly named "Ane Brun Objektified" full length will be released later this summer – here is the first
single, a taster of what is to come - Brun’s "Headphone Silence" remixed by
Henrik Schwarz.
Henrik Schwarz's "Headphone Silence" launches the project with edits
from the ever brilliant DJ Dixon and Objektivity's own Dennis Ferrer. Berlin
based Schwarz is undeniably one of the most innovative producers
working in dance music and his remix of another Scandinavian folk singer, Mari
Boine "Vuoi Vuoi Me" established his aptitude with precisely this sort of
vocal arrangement.
Dixon heads up Innervisions, a leading boutique house label from Berlin's vibrant, electronic music scene and as one half of Wahoo has show his versatility as a producer outwith the immediate 4/4 of club music.
New York based Dennis Ferrer is known as the "hit maker" and has had a
string of huge club hits and remixes that universally appeal to an unprecedented cross section of the dance music community from techno to house. His last single was the club smash "A Black Man in Space" on Objektivity earlier this year. Ferrer also recently did a cover mount mix CD for UK magazine Mixmag (available on request).
Schwarz composed his remix initially as a live lap top piece, mixing it down under the watchful eyes of close colleagues Ame, another major player in the club world.
"Ane Brun Objektified" the album will also feature unique remixes by Quentin Harris,The Martinez Brothers, Bah Sonik, Karizma, Jerome Sydenham and more.
HOUSE MUSIC DJs GO TECH SHOCKER !
With this latest release, Objektivity is excited to present yet another facet of New York club music in it's catalogue.
Timmy Regisford:
DJ/ Producer Timmy Regisford is simply put, one of the pivotal forces of house music in New York. The inception of his internationally acclaimed Club Shelter parties in NYC fifteen years ago helped pioneer and shape the face of house music all around the world. As an A&R guy Timmy was one of the people who brought house music into the mainstream signing Blaze to Motown and Ten City. As a DJ known for spinning long 8-12 sets, Timmy has DJ’d at almost all the legendary NYC
houses music clubs, recorded on legendary labels like Prelude, and collaborated with legends of house music like Blaze and Boyd Jarvis but you haven’t ever heard him like this. Partnering with his protege Quentin Harris this is Regisford for the 21st Century.
Quentin Harris:
Born and raised in Detroit and transplanted to NYC, Quentin Harris made a name for himself as the go-to remixer for major
label R&B hits with cuts like his genre shattering remix of Mariah Careys “Dont Forget About Us” going to number one on the
Billboard Dance Charts. But besides remixing the likes of India Arie, Donnie and Jill Scott, Quentin has made a name for
himself with both straight up techy club monsters like “Lets Be Young” to afro-house tinged electronic / tribal cuts like his
remix of Femi Kuti’s “Traitors Of Africa.” His tracks have been A-listed by DJs as diverse musically as Danny Tenaglia, David
Morales, Hex Hector, Carl Craig, Frankie Knuckles, Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Deep Dish, Derrick Carter, Francois K, Joe
Claussell and Danny Krivit. Each Harris record begins its life however, under the roof of New Yorks Club Shelter.
Dennis Ferrer: Here I go trying to push the boundary again. As the name implies..I wanted to meld 2 genres together as we're in a bit of a techy phase yet i still yearn to hear good soulful music. So what better way then to do "A Black Man In Space". I tried to make sure the beats were jackin and then called Jay Rodriguez in to do the sax. An amazing day as he knocked it out in like 2 takes. I wanted the sax to be a little on the dirty side so i kinda tried runnin the sax through an MD421 instead of trying to get cute with more expensive mics. Worked great. Didn't do much eq'ing on it to tell you the truth as i kinda liked the way it sounded from the get. Sometimes you just gotta leave things be. The bass relationship in this record was quite difficult and it took me a few tries to get it right. No doubt some folks have the wrong eq'd file floating around but that's what i do...I test things out to make sure i'm doing the right thing in the final result. Enjoy and it's coming very soon on Objektivity as part of my new album "The More Things Change..."
Another incredible remix from Chicago's Abicah Soul and followup to last year's deep house, revival hit Telepopmusik "Love Can Damage Your Health" on Objektivity. U.P.Z.'s "Noiz" is simple, so so deep and all about the bass line. Rasu's Jah vox on top take it over the edge... DF has been running this to the ground all over the summer. A sure hitter.

Two masters of modern house music, Dennis Ferrer and Loco Dice, meet in this remix of the classic Ibadan track. Loco Dice undertakes the remixing of the Ibadan classic Son Of Raw in the first of a series of remixes of Ferrer works originally out on Ibadan. With some of the most soulful and original techno productions on the market, he does not disappoint. An epic ten minute slice of modern house music that falls, like the original, somewhere between genres, Loco Dice creates a tunnel of atmosphere combining key elements for the original and adding Fly Life type EFX that build throughout.
Dennis Ferrer: Well....ain't that the damn truth? Been there done that...i say! So this song is a most fitting addition to our label's (Objektivity) catalogue. Every once in a while you come across vocals that just take your breath away....and when this one came our way via Abicah Soul...we were captivated. Angela McLuskey of Telepopmusik is the angel behind that performance. The original version of this record appeared under Capitol/EMI so we feel blessed that we have obtained this under an exclusive license. Abicah Soul did the remix...and I gave it the DF rework which I felt was needed. I wanted a bit more oomph to it! LMAO...Enjoy and once again....Much Love to you and yours.......

Much ado has been made of the aging of the dance music generation, but bucking the trend come the Martinez Brothers, two churchgoing kids from the Bronx-- Chris is 15, Steve is 18-- whose father turned them on to house music to steer them away from hip-hop's profane temptations. Under the tutelage of New York's "soulful" house vanguard, they've found themselves regularly playing gigs like Shelter and Danny Krivit's 718 Sessions. Their debut single, for mentor Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity label, is probably the last thing their classmates are listening to: an insanely deep, Detroit-inspired anthem that could give Âme a run for their money in the goosebumps department. A seven-minute swell of electrifying arpeggios and hangar- sized reverb, this is a sure contender for the summer's most epic track-- as well as a welcome alternative for when the DJ has played too many Carl Craig remixes in a row.

The sound of US club house is changing! Dennis Ferrer and Karizma supply another amazing new hit. This is dark, pounding house at it's best.
