My favorite movie of all time is "The Cutting Edge," with Joss Whedon's "Serenity" a close second. Some of my other favorite movies are: "Grease," "The Princess Bride," the Harry Potter movies, "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Eurotrip," "The Rules of Attraction," "Ever After," "Drive Me Crazy," "10 Things I Hate About You," "Happy Gilmore," "200 Cigarettes," "Go," "L.A. Confidential," and "Cruel Intentions." Most recently, I have loved "Knocked Up," "August Rush," and "Juno."
Television
My favorite all-time TV show is "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" -- I'm borderline obsessed! I also love "Veronica Mars," Angel," "Firefly," "Arrested Development," "Friends," "Alias," "Entourage," "Gilmore Girls," "The O.C.," "CSI" and "CSI: Miami," "Cold Case," "That 70's Show," and "My So Called Life." My current Must-See-TV includes "Lost," "Heroes," "Jericho," "One Tree Hill," "Gossip Girl," "Pushing Daisies," "Grey's Anatomy," "Dirty Sexy Money," "Battlestar Galactica," "Chuck," and "How I Met Your Mother." And my secret TV indulgences are PBS's "Mystery!" and those real-life forensic shows on A&E and Court TV ("Cold Case," "FBI Files," "Forensic Files," etc.).
Books
At the moment, I am reading "The Expected One" by Kathleen McGowan and "The Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield, and I just finished "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova. I'm still raving about "The DaVinci Code," and I'm hooked on books by Laurell K. Hamilton.
Heroes
I really admire strong professional females like Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Dole and Elizabeth Edwards. But I'd have to say that my TRUE hero is Buffy ... ;)
About me: Currently residing in Ft. Worth, TX via New Orleans via Los Angeles via New Orleans via ... well, a lot of other places. I am a bottom rung document review attorney at a large firm in downtown Dallas and am actually doing pretty well here. No matter how much I love New Orleans, living there was really just too hard for me. I gave it 1.5 years post-Katrina, but I found there is just too little progress (not to mention incredibly high expectations for prospective employees, considering the dwindling pool of applicants).
