About me:
Welcome to Ocean County College! I am a two-year public community college, sponsored by Ocean County and the State of New Jersey. I was born in Toms River, New Jersey on January 15, 1964, making me more than forty years old. My job is to provide you with the opportunity to benefit from a higher education. I can offer you a new beginning, a chance to grow, a chance to learn, and a chance to discover the world around you - all within a supportive yet innovative environment. I have an award winning faculty and staff who will encourage you to achieve the impossible. I offer a wide range of extracurricular activities which promote campus involvement among you and your peers. In addition, you can choose from a variety of degree programs to meet your academic needs. I am more than just a community college; I am a place you can call home.

The September meeting of the Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area will feature special guest speaker Robert Cenker, former NASA astronaut. Mr. Cenker flew aboard Shuttle Columbia in 1986, traveling over 2.1 million miles and logging in over 146 hours in space. This event will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 at the OCC Main Campus, Tech bldg, lecture hall at 7:00 p.m. Free Event.
