Odious Mortem was formed in 2000 by Dan Eggers (guitar, vocals), David Siskin (guitar) and KC Howard (drums). After recording multiple sessions and playing shows locally, Odious released a final demo in 03, recorded by John Green in San Diego. They made a deal with Unique Leader Records in 04 who released their debut album “Devouring the Prophecy", recorded by Matt Sotelo in Santa Cruz. Joel Horner (Bass) joined the band in 04 and Anthony Trapani also became the new lead vocalist in 05.
After finishing the Bloodletting V tour, Odious finished writing their second album in 2006. They entered the studios with Zack Ohren of Castle Ultimate in Oakland and recorded "Cryptic Implosion". The album was released in 2007 on Willowtip Records. With the help of Ivan Munguia on bass, Odious played various shows and fests in 07 to support the album. Drummer Lee Smith (Estradasphere, God of Shamisen) has also recently joined up with Odious to record a new album in 2010.
