I like to camp, write poetry, do science, make music, do woodwork, make glass beads, read SF and fantasy and poetry, eat, drink, etc..

I like to do cooperative role-playing games with a strong medieval flavor, but am perfectly willing to mix magic and technology.

I like clean web-pages so you won't see a lot of flash or graphics on this one, at least to start.
MusicRock and roll. (Try listener-supported http://www.radioparadise.com for an eclectic mix of streaming rock.)
(classic: Beatles, Stones, Doors, Grateful Dead, Airplane, Starship)
(The Band, Creedence Clearwater, Jackson Browne)

Folk (Kingston Trio, Pete Seeger, Guthrie elder and younger, etc.)

Early Music (Cantigas de Maria, Medieval Baebes, etc.)

Classical (BACH! Beethoven, Palestrina, Mozart, Handel, Hayden, Wagner)
MoviesNot very often. Prefer escapist fantasy and farce to serious.
X-men. Narnia. Harry Potter. Grosse Pointe Blank. Noises Off.
Television"Goddam babble-box" ((Secretly watched Buffy through all seven seasons.))

Fantasy and natural history in a sandwichy sort of way.
HeroesDonal Graheme, Gandalf, Meriadoc, Valentine Michael Smith.

Oh, in real life? The crew of the Challenger, and the Columbia.
The firefighters and policemen of New York City and of all other cities as well.
Mahatma Ghandi.

   Odo's Blurbs
About me:

Read my Stories, Please.

What are they about? They are my adventures in different Worlds as a youth of 30 years. My history precedes me and and I know it. Destiny awaits me, but I don't know that yet. I am, however, altogether too aware of the vagaries of Fate. In chronological order, they are:

The Odo Journals - I: A volume of my journals about a time when I took a job as a bodyguard in the city of Krallow and found that not all was as it seemed. Featured are red-heads, treachery, swordplay, death and a masqued ball.

A Simple Courier Assignment: I am sent on a simple assignment by the Mages Guild in PenAnnot: Deliver a scroll case containing some very dangerous spells to the Mage's Guild in a different World. Don't attract attention and don't let them fall into the wrong hands. From the very start it is clear that something is very wrong, but what? Unraveling the fabric of deception and secrets will take all my skill and not a little luck. Featured are necromancers, fetches, prophetic dreams, jovial traveling companions who may or may not be all they seem, swordplay, treachery, and an occasional blonde.

An Interlude With an Oneiromancer: I was plagued with dreams during my courier assignment. Now that I am back in PenAnnot, I decide to visit an oneiromancer to discover their source. What I discover is more than I had expected. Featured are a really nice red-head, a butler, dreams and more dreams, no swordplay.

The Dragon Corps: After six months in PenAnnot, I have decided to travel. After a brief delay, I travel to a new World, and find the Inn near the Gate is dark. There is a small matter of a visiting necromancer, a mysterious woman in green, the local mage and priest, and a man with a sprite as a friend. If I told you much more, it would spoil the fun.
OK, I'll mention that the story features a really nice blonde, her sister the mage, the tragic story of the elvish ambassador's daughter, how to talk with a sprite, numerous adventures, and a Fated deck of cards. That is far from all, however.

In Service: Five years have passed and my current employer is setting up something big. He's going to want me around for it, but Fate and a goddess have other plans. The dwarf is only the beginning.

To find the beginning of a story, go to the Interests section on the left and click the Part 1 link at the top of each story section. (In the Journals, the page numbers are those found in a small leather-bound book, not pages on the screen.)If you enjoy them or if you have critical commentary, please leave me a message or a comment in the blogs. Thanks.

Oh yes: I'm a person, too.

I'm pretty good at it, but sometimes I need more practice.

Back when I started this blog, I posted a partial explanation: Intro - I, Intro - II and Intro - III. My hope is that you find them entertaining.

Who I'd like to meet:
A unicorn. A dragon of the friendly sort. A god.
People who would like to do, or have done, the same thing.

Thank you, Odo for your critique. I appreciate it and the new first paragraph.

It's been some time since last we spoke. How've you been? How's the writing going? I will definitely check out your blogs later.

Have a good night.
