Some of the things I enjoy are hiking, backpacking, and dancing though traveling is hands down my favorite past time. I think my next trip will be to Cuba. I suppose it's mainly because Cuba is a forbidden fruit for Americans but I'm also enchanted by the idea of a beautiful Caribbean location that isn't over run by fast food joints and other tourists. I'm the adventurous type so that appeals to me.
Music
It seems like most of my recent CD purchases have been indie rock so I guess that's my new favorate genre though I have a pretty extensive collection of classic rock, 80's stuff, and 90's alternative rock.

Movies
My favorate movie of all time is Casablanca though Gone With The Wind is a close second. Modern movies seem to not develop the storyline as much and just rely on special effects to carry them through while the old movies didn't have special effects so they had to write a better story if they wanted people to go see the movie. I still think modern movies like Garden State, Full Metal Jacket, and Seven are top notch though. Oh yeah, and I can't forget snatch because it's just a great all around movie.
Television
I honestly don't watch to much Television and when I do it tends to be things like National Geographic, the Travel Channel, one of the movie channels, the news, or something like the History Channel.
Books
The world is flat, War & Peace, The Lord of the Rings, A Brief History of Time, Around the World in 80 Days, The Old Man and the Sea, Wuthering Heights, Don Quixote, The Divine Comedy, The Iliad and The Odyssey, Lolita, anything by William Shakespeare, Oedipus Rex, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and a lot more which I can't think of right now. I like to read.
Heroes
I've always considered John Kennedy to be a hero. A President, war hero, father, he just seemed to do it all. Ok, so he loved beautiful women a bit to much but he was still a great man.
Other people I admire are great thinkers like Plato & Albert Einstein, artists like Louis Armstrong & T. S. Eliot, revolutionaries like Thomas Jefferson & Gandhi, and great leaders like Winston Churchill & FDR.

About me: I'm a fun loving 31 year old professional who grew up in San Diego but who's been living in Santa Barbara and Sacramento for the last few years. I'm now back in San Diego and I'm hoping to meet somebody special. My friends have described me as intelligent, spontaneous, and honest though I just think of myself as down to Earth sort of guy who's also ambitious and goal orientated. I moved back to San Diego to work as a geologist for a local geo-technical firm and I really love it because it allows me to work outdoors. When I'm not working I enjoy hiking, dancing, playing pool, and piloting Cessnas but most of all I love to travel.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone and everyone! I'm always interested in meeting new people and doing new things so if you're looking for an activity partner, a new friend, or just someone to chat with.

Pre-Happy Birthday! I am moving again and don&'t want to miss wishing you a Happy 33rd on your actual B-Day. You really need to update your bio, it still says 31.
I hear that it's your birthday, and I thought I'd drop by to say, well... You are another year older, and you have to be that much wiser. Nico is back in the sand. Just so you know.
Daaamn... you definitely put a frown on my Tuesday. :o.. Thanks for the heads up, though. Funny, I was actually gonna drop you a line... see how things are going. -EMM-
My New Years Wish For You! May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ............
Yeah. Remember... go to the guild, hire a Hero, then kill him and take his magic sword and armor. ::hehe:: Still doesn't compare to a Deck of Many Things and Cory's miraculous ability to draw the 18 CHA and keep. ;o)
What a coincidence - you want to buy us a beer, and we love beer! What are the odds?
We're playing at Tio Leo's tonight (Thu) at 8:30 or 8:45 if you're up for it. Otherwise, dates are pretty consistently posted on our site (www.bigfellas.net) or MySpace.
