KMFDM - Kein Mehrheit Fur Die Mitleid
Roughly Translated: No Pity for the Majority
Spawned in Germany during 1984, KMFDM pioneered the crossover between
techno/dance and heavy metal with their signature industrial sound. Moving to Chicago in the mid-80' s KMFDM was the pride of Wax Trax Records during the label’s peak. Rapidly evolving year by year through intense experimentation and touring; the band has redefined themselves with each new release.
Venturing on to dabble in side projects and then re-establish KMFDM in Seattle during 1999 Sascha’s revolving band of misfits stood the test of time. KMFDM is currently helmed by the dual vocal attack of the band’s founder / leader, Sascha and the siren-voiced Lucia. To quote themselves, “The future belongs to those of us still willing to get our hands
dirty”. Living by their D.I.Y. philosophy, KMFDM has launched their own online store, KMFDM Store and record label, (KMFDM Records).
Celebrating their 24th Anniversary on February 29th, 2008, the band announced KMFDM 24/7, a series of twenty four seven inch vinyl singles featuring tracks from the band's original 12" singles and classic album cuts. The singles are being released on the first of every month in the order they were originally released for 24 months culminating on Feb 01, 2010 with a brand new exclusive single. Each of the 24 singles is available in a Limited Edition First and Only Pressing of 250 copies. All tracks have been remastered specifically for vinyl and the covers for all the singles will feature original classic KMFDM artwork, most by famed KMFDM cohort Brute!. All KMFDM 24/7 releases are exclusive to the KMFDM Store.
KMFDM remain a musical entity to be reckoned with. Through relentless musical exploration and reinvention they have continued to top themselves. KMFDM’s new 2009 album, Blitz, is no exception.
Along with Blitz, KMFDM has released . . . SKOLD vs. KMFDM! SKOLD vs. KMFDM is the new 22 track album by Tim Skold and Sascha Konietzko. It is available now exclusively in the KMFDM Store.
As further evidence that their 25th year, 2009, will be one to remember, the band played a number of festival and headlining dates across Europe, mounted a full scale tour of the US and played a show in Canada for the Kein Mitleid World Tour 2009.
In addition to their new material KMFDM has re-released their entire back catalog from the band's WaxTrax! Records era as KMFDM Classics via Metropolis Records/KMFDM Records. To accompany the KMFDM Classics, KMFDM has released Extra, a three volume set of double disc collections of all KMFDM tracks not included on the ten KMFDM Classic albums. The classic KMFDM side project Excessive Force has also had their entire catalog re-released.
The self-proclaimed fathers of industrial-rock show no signs of stopping.

Fillmore, Charlotte NC - As always, the most fun I can have a concert! No matter how long you're on stage, it always feels like the show just started when you're finishing your last encore. Time flies when you're Ripping The System! :D You guys rock, AS ALWAYS! Nice to meet you again (and great to be a fan of a group that isn't "too good" to rub elbows with the fans!!!). Thanks again for signing my ANGST shirt. Bought it during the ANGST tour in 1994 and have worn it to every show ever since. Sorry for the turnout, btw. Last time you were here (at the TREMONT) the place was packed! Wednesday nights, man...... I know one fan was bummed out about missing the show - a waitress at the restaurant I went to earlier in the evening. She saw the shirt and came over to sob. She asked us to think of her while we were at the show. I bought some KMFDM pins and will give them to her this weekend. ANYWAY - Vielen, vielen dank! Was ihr macht fur mich, so gut fur mich.....SO GUT! ;) - Mike
