Formed in February of 2005, Of Raven & Ruins has established itself as one of this generations most promising metal acts. The upcoming album, Bound to Prophecy, will shape the future of melodic death metal in America for many years to come.
Originally the band was a three piece set, formed by Ben Del Castillo, Derek Booth, and Neal Gist. In 2006, Tyler Gist joined as a full time keyboardist, followed by Alex Bennett and Jonathan Gossett in the following year.
In March of 2007 Of Raven & Ruins recorded their demo. With this music, the band was able to carve a name for themselves in the metal scene around the world!
In 2009, Bound to Prophecy will be released. Expectations are high as the band plans on making their mark in the music industry forever. Following the release in June, OR&R will be touring this summer to promote the album. Be sure to check back often for updates!
