OGRE formed in 1999 when Ed joined forces with Ross and Will, and together they quickly wrote and recorded a 4-track demo cassette that garnered high praise in the underground metal and stonerrock community. In 2003, the band released its first full length, Dawn of the Proto-Man, which was named Album of The Year by Peacedogman.com and Top 5 Debut Albums of 2003 by Chris Barnes on Hellridemusic.com. The disc created enough buzz to get noticed by Japan's Leafhound Records, who put out the band's second effort, Seven Hells in '06, and Plague of the Planet in '08. This OGRE went back to its cave in Sept. '09.
