The Official International Queen Fan club was established in 1974 to cope with the huge demand in interest for the band Queen. The fan club was set up to mantain a crucial link between the band and their fans. It has been a vital part of all communications and contact between band members and the general public. For many years it has provided fans with the first chance to purchase the fast selling concert tickets and the chance to be an extra in many of the bands videos..including "We are the champions" and "Radio GaGa".
After thirty two years the fan club is still a major contributor in providing the fans the opportunity to be there and hear it first. On the recent Queen and Paul Rodgers tour, fan club members were offered the chance to purchase tickets for the venues before anyone else. The fan club also arranged an annual convention that recently celebrated its 21st anniversary. Fans from all over the world gather to socialise, make new friends and generally pay homage to the band they love so much.
