About me:

Our mission at the Okefenokee Humane Society in Waycross GA is of course, to give the animals that are in our care the home that they have never known. We do our best to place these animals into as many loving homes as possible. We strive to educate the public on being responsible pet owners by having their pet neutered or spayed so as to not reproduce any unwanted litters. We as pet owners have taken on the responsibility of being the best friend of man's best friend... By doing so, we have taken on the obligation of tending to them for a lifetime. We speak for those animals who cannot speak for themselves.

    Thanks for adding me! I just found homes for seven adorable kittens from a stray. I will be getting the stray mother cat fixed in a couple of weeks.
    I hope to pick out a dog soon at the Humane Society for my daughter! Thanks for all you do!

    Hi Kaye! The shelter's myspace is a great idea. The little rat terrier we got from you was placed with a lovely air force family from Nashville, Ga. They have twenty acres and two other ratties. They named her Morgandy and she is a sport. They are very pleased with her and having her in their family.
