"The Roast" have established themselves on the Perth music scene as one of the most energetic live acts in town. The music is a unique blend of funk, soul, hip-hop, and jazz. Their shows @ the Llama Bar in Subiaco, and the Universal Bar in Northbridge, have helped them build a strong following since they formed in 2004. The Roast have played many outdoor festivals such as Seriously Sound System, and New Years On The Rocks @ The Quarry. This year the guys were nominated for a WAMI award in the funk category, played in the Next Big Thing competition, and have received support from RTRfm, and other WA radio stations. Their debut album 'On A Sunday Night' boasts 12 original tracks that will bring the house down. It is out now, and available for purchase at local record stores through Green distribution.
