On By Seven is a hard working Alternative Rock band from Columbia, SC. On By Seven brings out a solid rock sound influenced by the likes of Collective Soul, Daughtry, the Foo Fighters and more. Upon this foundation, On By Seven builds its unique brand of alternative rock with emotional and powerful lyrics spinning tales of times past, loves lost, and life in general.
On By Seven was founded by bassist/vocalist Johnathan Spell in the summer of 2001. The band independently released a three song EP entitled the Sound Lab Demos during the summer of 2007.
On By Seven has since had the pleasure of sharing a stage with such bands as Begger's Guild, Closer, Bain Mattox and Shot from Guns, and national recording acts Big 10-4 and Tyrone Wells. On By Seven was also voted Indie Spotlight band of the month for January 2008 at Alternative Addiction.com.
