The bands which have influenced One Thread definitely shine through in their music. Everything from Pink Floyd to Metallica to the Deftones, Tool, the Doors, even a little Cradle of Filth and Faith No More. As much as these bands influenced One Threads' approach to their sound, such a wide array of genres has allowed One Thread to hone a truly original style, one that's all their own. One Thread also listens to Lacuna Coil, Disturbed, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Slayer, Tristania, White Zombie and countless others.

In 2005, One Thread was formed out of a collective desire for dynamic songwriting. Saturated with raw emotion and talent; the trio brandishes a style of metal which immediately arrests any listener.
Jason's vocals lend the band a sense of drama above heavy layers of unrelenting guitars and thematic leads. Colin's basslines pulse and groove; adding dimension to the precise chaos and rhythmic thunder of drummer Nicholas. In any live setting, on CD, across the internet, or over the radio; One Thread always impresses.
One Thread has released a CD sampler of their music titled "The Defining Sacrifice" which is available locally in San Diego. The band continues to perform at venues such as Canes, Molly Malones, The Blarney Stone, De Oro Mine Co, Fannies, Scolari's Office, Dreamstreet, Brick by Brick, Caffe Salotto, Joe N' Andy's Hole in the Wall, Chasers, and Xanth. One Thread is currently in the studio working on their debut album titled "If Only I..."; which is due out in October '08. Upon completion of this full length demo One Thread plans to expand their roster of shows in San Diego and eventually hit the remainder of Southern California.
