Sounds Like
Rhythmic progressions informed by impending cultural decomposition.
The inherrent feeling of malaise that remains constant without ever reaching the terminal.
George Best's 1'st liver panned hard right, it's replacement to the left and processed through Boris Johnson's hair in an a-political manner.
Heres the last single... you can buy it on vinyl in places or download HQ Mp3.
"This is the sound of electicism, vieing for your attention. I've seen him do it live and it's quite an experience sonically speaking. Operator is definitely one to watch, and more importantly listen to!"
Vic Galloway, BBC Radio One
"Operator's unique production techniques reveal themselves to be most eclectic and contemporary. You could be in Keith Whitman / Fennesz guitar processing territory. Individual and different, enter the world of Operator for a while, you should find something you like."
www.boomkat.com
"There's no easy way to entertain a room full of people when you're just one man twiddling a few pots on stage, but Lewis MacColl - AKA Operator - manages it by taking Route One and hitting us with some great music... it's nice to hear he's also pretty damn talented."
David Pollock, 4/5, The List
"Operator combines the most eclectic and contemporary aspects of new electronic music
and manages to be both muso and funky at the same time.
He builds his set into a fluid house break then lets it crumble into fuzzy, popping analogue noise before repeating the trick again."
John Kelly, The Daily Record, Feb 2004
"Os1.1 (by operator) is a very cool operating system, I want it on this pc now. Its all good, what more do I have to say. Very recommended."
"This is interesting stuff... most pleasant." www.normanrecords.com
"Taking the usual structure of beat and sample based experimental music to different places ... recommended" Dan Shirai, pitchadjust
"Tisch by operator from os1.1. More good experimental electronic tracks from Scotland. This track balances some noisier IDM explorations on a bed of pure 80's electro, with a bouncy melody and a solid clap holding together a nice 808 beat that's clumsy in a calculated kind of way. For some reason, the thing that keeps coming to my mind on this one is if Aphex Twin remixed "Genius of Love" - but maybe not." "Track of the Day" @ Dream Chimney

A clip from Paris Hilton's new film Repo: The Genetic Opera (I shit you not) also starring some bloke who clearly thinks he's the Joker. Awe-inspiring.
yeah, i think i might have to replace one of the tuners on that duo-sonic, but they're klusons, pre 'f' tuners, and fucking expensive. you can get reissues but they'll look pish. i've got an old strat that looks as if it's been set on fire, you could maybe rip the tuners off that.
i went to the gay pride parade in west hollywood and was reminded of you when watching the four hundred pound drag queens marching with ten-foot tall magenta wigs. then i saw a report on the bbc today about anti-youth "mosquito" machines being used around the uk, and began to think of your music.
when are you hauling your ginger ass over to these yanqui shores? no more excuses about money - i think that one of your scottish pounds is now worth about $452 american dollars.
