-Townes Van Zandt

Mississippi governor J. P. Coleman, whose car had been mobbed by fans who mistook his arrival for their idol's, was backstage, and while they were taking a picture together, Elvis told the governor he thought he might go into politics himself. 'Oh . . . what would you run for?' asked the governor. 'The city limits,' said Elvis affably.

"Do not urinate standing turned towards the sun; and after sunset and until sunrise, bear in mind, do not urinate either on the road or off the road walking, nor uncovered: the nights belong to the blessed ones." -Hesiod in Works & Days (8th century BC)
Hope you're well, Brendan O', and all the best in the New Year!
Dock Boggs, Though fond of dogs, Was never mad about riding hogs. While Mrs. Boggs Was chopping logs, Dock was busy writing blogs.
(Profound, I know. An angel whispered it in my ear, the other night, while I was drinking a beer. But who in God's name is Dock Boggs?!!! Adjourn to Harry Bradley's site and you will soon be enlightened. Your life will be utterly transformed; your music will never be quite the same.)
I hope Jim's night goes well, at Johnston's. All the best and all the rest.
Good to be in touch, Brendan, in this manner. "It ain't right and it ain't wrong to hear a cowboy sing an old time song." Stay connected, Mucha suerte, John.
