Osmosis is a a co-operative run by a group of people who are passionate about their music and sharing it with like minded people. Each member of the crew has given their talent, equipment and time freely.
"Any money made is ploughed back in to improve lighting, decor, sound, produce free CDs, and if we're really lucky, buy us a couple of drinks."
Supported by the vibrant and eclectic venue, Rootys, Osmosis has developed a reputation for it's atmosphere, music and support of local talent, with names like Paul Damage (1881 Recordings/House of God), Sir Real (House of God)and Sub Citizen (Resistor Records/Inukshuk) joining Residents and local heroes DK Roon', Mack, Dr Pepperspray, HijACKER and M-AK.
The unique decor was specially produced by Birmingham artist A-109, and is complemented by the incredible light and lazer show by Brad. With a Function One state of the art sound system you can truly feel the clarity of sound.
We have also added a Smokers Retreat; no shuffling on the street for our esteemed members!
In the end though, the night is all about the crowd.

Osmosis comes out to play the last Friday of every month at Rooty Frooty, The Custard Factory, Gibb Street, Birmingham B9.
Dress Code: Be yourself. If you can't be yourself, be someone else, you'll always be welcome.
Respect your fellow party goers. Bad Attitudes must be checked at the door. You're welcome to have them back when you leave.

We provide a unique, professional and informative service to our members who are from a wide area both UK and Worldwide based.
Soitiz provides the most up to date information on DJ's, producers, labels, releases, technology and technical support, events and festivals both UK and Worldwide. The information is continuously updated, as we ourselves know how fast the industry grows.
Our Admins and Mods who are qualified and experienced in both music production and event promotion are also able to assist members with any technical help and queries.
Unlike other music forums our website is purely an information tool, we steer away from the random chat usually seen on other forums.

I have set up a minimal. Detroit section which gets hammered {viewing wise} where the main techno side does not which is really anoying
i was wondering if there was anyone on here, who would like to be come a mod on soitiz, i was after mainly someone in Europe {but would take someone from uk with a wide knowledge of techno} as we have a lot of techno djs/prouducers from Europe on our site n on our my space { myspace. com/soitiztechnoinformation } and there is a ton of good techno coming out of there at the moment, but i don't know where to start looking for it cheers for your time

anyhoo - wanted to say thanks too for giving me the opportunity to play - I had a wicked time and it totally goes down as my biggest gig to date - as you could probably tell was scared shitless before hand but the osmosis love saw me through it :)
If you ever want me to play again, I will always be up for it - oh and I won't shut up about gettin you guys to play on my show till it finally happens.

On the site there is treads for links to your myspace /facebook or your own website. Big name dj sets, plus up coming fresh techno djs, getting the chance to air there own mixes or tunes.
