OURAKEN est un projet musical et visuel, qui explore par son ambient rituel les facettes les plus sombres de l’histoire japonaise. Du Sengoku Jidai à l’incendie de Tokyo, des massacres de Nankin jusqu’à Hiroshima, le fanatisme et la mort tendent à esthétiser leur brutalité.
Le concept DARK ZEN unit tension et sérénité, violence et beauté. Le visible et l’invisible, l’humble quotidien et la réalité ultime, le Relatif et l’Absolu, la destruction et l’équilibre. Un équilibre construit dans le but exclusif de sa propre destruction.

With his dark and meditative ambient music, OURAKEN explores the creepiest aspects of Japanese history. From the medieval Sengoku Jidai era to the bombing of Tokyo, from the Nankin massacres to Hiroshima, fanaticism and death are tending to aestheticise their brutality.
DARK ZEN unites tension and serenity, violence and beauty. The visible and the invisible, humble everyday life and ultimate reality, the Relative and the Absolute, destruction and harmony. A harmony built for the only purpose of its own destruction.
