General	Shooting the King's deer, winning archery contests, rescuing peasants from unjust hangings, inviting the Sheriff of Nottingham to dinner and making him pay for it, quarterstaff fighting, making Bishops dance, drinking brown october ale, kissing Maid Marian, robbing the rich, giving to the poor, putting on tights and singing operetta music in the woods, that sort of thing.
Movies	MOVIES WE'VE MADE: In cooperation with historians in Ithaca, New York, the Library of Congress and others we have restored the BEATRICE FAIRFAX series (1916), THE PHANTOM EMPIRE (1935), ADVENTURES OF TARZAN (1921), THE JUNGLE PRINCESS (1920), restored effects and music to KING OF THE MOUNTIES (1943), and released new digital transfers of THE VANISHING LEGION, GANG BUSTERS, ZORRO'S FIGHTING LEGION and other classic and lost serials. Currently working on THE MASKED RIDER (1919) from a 35mm nitrate transfer of the only known print. SCRIPTS WE'VE PRODUCED AND PUBLISHED: The original musical version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and adaptations of THE LITTLE MERMAID, BABES IN TOYLAND, a 45-minutes PETER PAN AND WENDY, RED RIDING HOOD, and original scripts TILL WE MEET AGAIN, THE TESTIMONY OF LIZZIE BORDEN and others. Welcome to Sherwood Forest!

The Outlaws of Sherwood (which will have its formal home at www.outlawsofsherwood.com -- currently under construction!) are performers, musicians, stunt fighters and artists interested in re-creating the original ballads, songs, and plays, for CD and DVD presentation, of one of history's best known heroes and his entourage. Meet here to read and exchange information about auditions for new Robin Hood/historical fantasy-related productions, performances, shooting dates and keep in touch at our monthly meeting for those who know each other from past productions. If you are a creative type in the Bucks County/Trenton N. J./Philadelphia area and feel you have something to offer, would like to be a Merry Man or Woman, knight, maiden, lord, lady, forester, friar or faery in one of our productions, join our outlaw band and be merry with us here in our Castle of the North Wind!

TALES OF ROBIN HOOD; The rare pilot feature for a 1950s television show that never made it to the air. A low-budget effort with not too much class but lots of spirit and an interesting origin sequence showing Robin as a child

ROBIN HOOD, A play originally performed at Yale in the 1910s

SONGS OF ROBIN HOOD, the best selections from numerous Robin Hood operettas of the 1850s-1920s, and as many live performances of original ballads as we can muster.

Auditions are currently open for actors to play all the characters in the Robin Hood stories and ballads, including Robin himself, who may be played by different actors in different versions of the story according to whether, for instance, the role demands more stunt fighting or singing etc. Characters:

Various lords, ladies, abbots, peasants, royals, etc. as they figure in the stories. Also 2 young actors to play Robin Hood's mother and father.

Eric is also currently assembling actors for participation in scenes to be shot for the MASKED RIDER DVD to be released by the Serial Squadron. Needed are cowboys and Mexicans for a gunfight scene, a white-haired grandfather-cowboy type, and 1 man and 1 woman who can ride horses. Shooting will probably be on Sunday afternoons. Melanie will be playing Juanita, Lea Barats doubling for Ruth Stonehouse, Wrangler Rick will play Pancho and do stunts.
