Corinthians 1:5 For as Christ's sufferings overflow to us, so through Christ does our encouragement also overflow Overflow was born in the year of 83 raised in Houston, Texas. He is the second child of four, growing up in a Christian Family, with parents as Pastors at "Iglesia Emanuel" Jose & Orbelicia. At the age of 14 Overflow was influence by the culture of Hip Hop and was moved by the B-boy scene (break dancing). He loved the center stage of attention in which he would perform at his school for special event. Growing up wasn’t easy, especially with the religious church he was pushed into and the influences that surrounded him. He felt as though the Christ movement was monotones. He never made a true choice to follow Christ, and by this being said; by the age of 16 Overflow fell into a life of drug addiction, and night life partying. His habits and usage of drugs were; weed cocaine, crystal-meth, ecstasy, acid, alcohol, and even experimenting different drugs at once to experience a new high. This kept taking him further into the depths of a sinful life and spiritual death. Overflow closed himself from his family and friends after the first year of his drug usage. He became very frustrated with his depression and emotional problem. All through the struggle and fight of this heavy, heavy addiction he found himself being passionate about Hip-Hop music. He then decided to write out his life, his frustration, and his personal experiences on paper. This is kept him sain and helped him maintain his grip on reality. Regardless of his ways, his sins, his lifestyle, God was never going to leave him, even when he chose not to follow Christ. God has bigger plans than that what of a man can conceive and that is exactly what God was doing in the life of Overflow. Fast forward 1 ½ years Overflow hit rock bottom, the drugs were no longer giving him the high he needed, to the point of a near death experience due to an overdose of drugs. In his realization of this spiritual near death experience he had to make a choice, either chose LIFE or chose DEATH. He then made a decision to “CHOSE LIFE” and choice to get with God. He made a pact in a prayer, nights after his experience in which God gave confirmation in a dream that the pact would be in effect. The following day the urge that existed in him was no longer strong he dropped the drug’s cold turkey from one day to the next. The process of healing began but he had yet made a decision to attend a church even though the word of God guides us to be in commune with brothers and sisters in Christ who can help you develop a stronger relationship in the faith and Christ himself. By April 2004 he renew his vows and spoke out the sinners prayer and began to attend church, that same church ("Iglesia Emanuel") he grew into and the rest was history and here he is in the present standing strong preaching the Gospel , a called leader in his church, a teacher, a preacher and currently he is working on expanding the gifts and talents that God has fulfilled in him with Hip-Hop Music. To add cream to the cake not only did God restore him but also gave him a future wife in which he could share and experience the triumphs and success of his future with. She is also a work in progress by the name of POETICA, with the Spirit of God anything is possible. If you believe in him all your wrongs can become right and Christ will uplift your soul , your life, and your spirit.
