Ovelorde are happy to announce the return of none other than Bobby 'Leather Lungs' Lucas as their new vocalist! Bobby and the guys are anxious to begin working on material for their follow-up to 'RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT' which received unanimous critical acclaim in the European and North American metal press.
Bobby is quoted as saying:
"I couldn't be happier about returning to OVERLORDE. Our release, 'RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT', is some of my best work ever and I plan on giving the next album 110%." I have been through some tough times and battled illness and tragedy in my life over the past 3 years, but I have come through it a much stronger person. I feel better than ever, and my voice is stronger than it's ever been in the 24 years that I've been a vocalist! Mark, John, and Dave are like family to me and it feels like I never left the group. I also want to thank them and the fans for sticking by me and making it all worthwhile! Cheers everyone!!!"

In other news, Overlorde's contract with Sonic Age Records recently expired. The band thanks Manos, Kostas, and the rest of the label for their faith and support and wishes them the best. Today is the 64th anniversary of D-DAY, also known as OPERATION OVERLORD. One of the defining events in American and World history,
it is also, in part, the reason for Overlorde's naming.
In fact, it was this day in 1985, 23 years ago, that Overlorde was named.
To honor these events, and the men that fought in D-Day, Overlorde has added a song to its music player from their debut 1987 EP. The song is titled THE LONGEST DAY, and is about D-Day. The song was titled after the Cornelius Ryan book and movie of the same name.

Overlorde announces that the band has parted ways with vocalist Chris Colfax. Kong, Dave and M.E. wish Chris the best of luck!
Meanwhile, the band will now begin to look for a replacement. The band is well into preparing for its next release on Sonic Age Records, the followup to the highly acclaimed CD titled RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT. So the vocalist should be ready to hit the ground running.

Overlorde’s John “Kong” Bunucci, as previously announced, will be appearing at a "Meet and Greet" at DRAGON CON in Atlanta, Georgia as a guest of HEAVEN AND HELL RECORDS. The convention runs from Aug 31st to September 3rd, 2007.
The exact date and time of Kong’s appearance is 2:00pm on Saturday, September 1st.
Kong will have a limited amount of posters and 8x10s available. CDs will also be available for sale at the Heaven and Hell Records booth.

Overlorde announces that Chris Colfax has permanently joined as the band's vocalist! The band looks forward to working with Chris as they write and prepare for the release of their second CD on Sonic Age Records.
A live MP3 of SNOW GIANT, taken from the band's set at BROOKLYN METALFEST II, is now available for download at the band's MySpace Page (see above). Overlorde announces that it has parted ways with vocalist Bobby Lucas. The band wishes Bobby the best of luck in his future endeavors.
Appearing onstage with the band during its upcoming set at BROOKLYN METAL FEST II will be vocalist Chris Colfax. The band will be performing on Saturday, June 23rd, at approximately 7:00pm.
The much delayed video single of the title track SNOW GIANT from Overlorde's CD named RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT is now released. Overlorde recently performed in
Germany at KEEP IT TRUE IV metalfest
(April 2, 2005). Fans attended from Germany, Italy, Greece,
Portugal, Poland, France, Holland, Belgium. Sweden, the USA, the UK and more!
Critics and fans alike named Overlorde's performance as one of the highlights of
the fest.
The band put together a special "slide show" of offstage
shots with the fans, as well as posting pictures of their performance.
The 20th Anniversary of the band's
naming was June 6th, 2005. Overlorde's M.E.
remembered it this way in an e-mail communique to FORCE RECON...
"It was June 6th
1985. Yes, 20 years ago in 1985 Kong and myself , along with a singer
named Hector and I think a drummer named Harry, were sitting in Kongs van in
the parking lot of Earthquake Rehearsal Studios in Scotch Plains, NJ. We had
just got done rehearsing. Harry was technically Overlordes first drummer
(though he never played a show or recorded with us) and Hector was a friend who
was never an official Overlorde singer.
Kong and I started brainstorming names. We both said OVERLORD at the exact same
time! He said it because he had just heard Zeppelins IMMIGRANT SONG earlier
that day, with the line we are your overlords. I said it since I am a big
World War II buff, and that day, June 6th, was the 41st anniversary of D-Day.
Officially known as Operation Overlord.
We took it as fate that we both blurted the name out at the same time. We added
the e to make it more medieval and less likely to have been used by another
band, and thats how the band was named!"
Overlorde's first
show, which had drummer Dave Wrenn behind the kit and had Kong pulling double
duty as lead singer, occurred in November 1985 at THE SHOWPLACE in Dover, NJ. So
Overlorde is marking this as their "20th Anniversary Period". They did a special
interview to commemorate the anniversary at WDHA 105.5 FM in Cedar Knolls, NJ on
the show METAL MANIA. Appropriate since the show was one of the first to support
the band in the 80's. You can see photos from the studio
