realeditorbest profile toolsOwen Sartori has been fronting CMJ charting rock outfits like Push and A Band Called Delicious for more than a decade, and enjoying the anonymity that goes with a band name. However, his work with ABCD garnered the attention of Milwaukee producer Daniel Holter, who convinced him to complete the new album under his label Burst Records... and under Owen’s own name.
His style isn’t exactly unfamiliar, just hard to nail down. Owen takes a kind of singer/songwriter craftsmanship and combines it with a self-deprecating lyrical wit that sometimes makes you wonder if he really wanted us to know so much about him.
Another Beautiful Day in the CUBE features help from some of the industry’s heaviest session players and producers, like Kenny Aronoff (Alanis Morrisette, John Mellencamp), John Ferraro (Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow), Dave Marotta (Phil Collins, Manhattan Transfer), Chris Mosher (Sixpense None the Richer, Bon Jovi) and Tom Tucker (Prince, Lucinda Williams). Owen hopes his music will connect with, among others, cubicle-jockeys and the legions of under-paid, over-educated pop music lovers of generations X, Y and whatever’s in between
"Another Beautiful Day in the CUBE" to be released AUGUST 1st, 2008!

“Heartfelt, self-reflective lyrics. Hair-raising chord changes and melodies... Sartori has made a timeless and original pop record that manages to capture the vibe of an era.” - Adam Levy, The Honeydogs
“A well-produced, well-crafted set of songs from a veteran of the trenches of the music recording business... Owen Sartori has earned his chance to be heard.” - Slim Dunlap, The Replacements
“Great recording, great mix, cool vocals and very intelligent, literate songwriting a la Elvis Costello, Tal Bachman, Aimee Mann, etc… Great job!” -- Kevin Bowe, Johnny Lang/Etta James
“Dude, I f*ckin' love your songs. It kinda reminds me of Jason Mraz, but with better songwriting and none of that wordy bullsh*t." - Kenny Aronoff, John Mellencamp/Melissa Ethridge
***Industry Reviews for "Another Beautiful Day in the CUBE"***
"Twin City's Owen Sartori... strikes out on his own with a killer bunch of hook filled songs on his solo debut! "Go On" rocks just as hard and with just as much melody as anything on "Rockin The Suburbs", and fans of Ben Folds, Jason Falkner, and a cooler Jason Mraz will completely eat this up! An excellent debut, and sure to be on many a "best of" lists for 2008."- PopBang Radio
"[Selections From the Cube]" a smart and hooky pop/folk rock music production with soothing melodic delivery. Owen Sartori created just what the pop/folk rock fans are craving for in this limited edition EP by Burst Records. [He] gives his fans a well blended melodic journey of life events everyone can relate to, and gives his audience a feeling of laughing their troubles away with a smile of happiness. Congratulations Owen Sartori and Burst Records on a lyrical and melody masterpiece that delivers heart and soul! - CD Pulse Staff / www.CDPulse.com
"Owen Sartori, a singer/songwriter/guitarist from, Minneapolis, MN, sent me his 5-song debut consisting of cleverly written and well-performed tunes that demonstrate a strong knack for melody and a penchant for tongue-in-cheek humor that is abundantly displayed on the projects' opening track, "The Cube," which painfully articulates the agony of working a nine-to-five when you have interests elsewhere. Owen showcases a cerebral sense of humor and strong commercial appeal that can help to brand him as a performer to watch. He even gets funky on the project's most commercial track, "Could You Be The One," a song with break out radio potential that can kick start his career with it's melodic bass line, strong hook, and instantly accessible lyrics which are some of the best that I've heard all year... If Owen can write songs this good from his cube, imagine how good they would be if he wrote them from a studio or while on tour..."- Gian Fiero / The Muse's Muse
"This came into my inbox earlier last week and blew my ears open. Pure vocals and creative pop-rock riffs make this one of the best albums I've heard in the last two months. Though just an EP with three actual tunes, Selections from the Cube is a brilliant effort by a complete "no-namer" on an indie label." - CDReviews.com

Nothing much dude, just looking into some new music making programs because Guitar Pro's getting kind of old (and doesn't sound as good as other things). Can't find any I like though, haha.

'a voice that can enchant. Coffey's vocal chords deliver liquid gold with a divine Irish lilt.' FATEA Records 'charming and honest'. Time Out 'Joan's music exudes a warmth, humility and truth that is rare to find in singer-songwriters these days'. Thea Gilmore
