Pablo Eskimo originally started when a pop-tastic guitarist (Rob), a heavy metal drummer and a crazed-rock-star-wannabe chick (Alaine) happened to cross each others paths one sunny day in the almost South Side of Glasgow (we say almost, it was at Carlton Studios). Through our love of harmonious chaos, wild parties and music, we’ve have become a force to be reckoned with…I shit you not.
Having woken up, smelled the stale beer and uber strong coffee and got a brand new drummer by the name of JOHNBOY, the harmony is by far more chaotic, the parties stupidly more wild and the music the best ever. End of.
Great things are gonna happen, I can smell it.
We’ve been told that we bring a fire and energy to the stage that few other bands can match. Having gigged, got up to mischief and had a right royal laugh together, we’ve discovered that not only do we write feckin amazing music, we actually all get on, play better with hangovers, like wandering around Prague, and give off the impression that we’re mental…now all we have to do is control the twitching and we’re sorted.
Our music? Well there’s lots of stuff in there……. funk, rock, punk, ska…..anything basically, which we use to create a style that is wholly our own, no-one elses…..got that?
The official 4th Member of the ‘Eskimo is Chris, who takes photos, does our artwork and will always be on hand for some great advice.
In a nutshell, we’ve had radio play from Jim Gellatly (XFM), Vic Galloway and various podcasts around the world, as well as two of our most popular tracks featured as the backing tracks to various short indie films.
So, check out our tunes and feel free to drop us a line, if you so wish
