PAIR OF DUNKS started into 2005 after becoming disgruntled with our local scene. There were too many fights, too many macho bullshit (we speak this issue in our song "What Went Wrong"). We wanted to take a positive CHANGE, thus started this band to talk more about issues that have important themes of us.
We wrote the demo more over our holidays that year. Timo's mom which had a basement was nice enough to allow us practicing in ago for four hours a day! Ladies do not make nicer! We wrote four songs and after immediately showed them to our
friend Gert, who insisted that we recorded with him for free. It was not a certainly how we would pay for each recording, then that was a nice surprise!
The song of most importance to us is named "New Times" and was after written Timo
had been released from the hospital. Some drunk asshole driving ran him over
during Timo was walking to band practice, carrying his combo amp and guitar more
over on his shoulder. Luckily Timo is tall and only broke both of his legs! We took
a LONG break for July because Timo could not even stood, and always for he refused to
practice sitting down.
When he was back we immediately made "How To Try" and the PAIR OF DUNKS theme song. That song has a more harder edge with it, and we thought it would the ideally way start any great records, especially our demo! We have many big plans for this year, including a European mini route, a South American route, and a North America route with some friends, so come to it and show some support! Without other HC kids, we have NOTHING. The positive youth: always how to try!
