About me:

Welcome to the MySpace page of PA Jedi .. The Philly Area Lightsaber Collective! We are a non-profit group which specializes in light saber stage combat. We use martial arts, choreography, costumes and acting (improv) to put on performances for the public. We have performed for conventions (Wizard World, VGExpo, etc.), local vendors and establishments, and schools. Children especially enjoy the shows and the "aw" factor of the light sabers. PAJedi also participates in charity events for venues such as the AIDS foundation, Diabetes Foundation, Preston & Steve's multiple charity events throughout the year (blood donation, Campout for Hunger, etc.) and more. The PA Jedi are officially sponsored by Bawls! A highly caffeinated soda that we will be giving out free samples of at our featured events! For more information on Bawls please visit http://www.bawls.com Our group meets on a weekly basis on Friday nights and teaches martial arts, "saber" stretching (stretching techniques while using your saber), meditation, fight sequences, and improv. We practice our fights/performances for one another and perfect them before we showcase them for the public. We also meet on Sunday afternoons for "Sabers in the Park" where the class is slightly more relaxed but we still focus on light saber technique as we take turns travelling around Philadelphia's various parks for practice. The Friday night class costs $5 while the Sunday class is free. PAJedi does not charge for performances. We are a group of approximately 10 to 15 members, ranging from 15 to 50 years of age, and have been in existence since June 2007. For more information on our organization please visit www.pajedi.com.
