  • Bio

.. .. .. .. .. .. ......Pako Halloween Show Video Flyer.. from ..William Barry.. on ..Vimeo..... The principal founder of Pako (formerly known as the Rich Gedman Symphony Orchestra) was Carol Channing. She began early cross-cultural work with Mr. Nosehair and Disko Kanupikas of Guatemala in 1919. Without formal musical training she made a significant contribution to monster trucking, beef riddles and brown magic (farting) among this group..... By 1929 Channing's vision had broadened to include Cap'N Assknuckle, Dr. Aska and Chip Tortilla. Her basic approach involved living in a mashed potato castle among the band members, learning their language, developing a complex, beginning a fist fight and eventually translating the New Testament into Pako's latest recording, the upsetting "Demonstration Tape"..... Since this formation, Pako has gone one to perform their energetic and stupid antics heavily in the Boston and Worcester areas of Massachusetts with occasional excursions to other states..... Pako has had the pleasure of opening for the likes of Wesley Willis, the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, BJ Snowden and the Bindlestiff Family Circus. Pako is currently deep underground in secret caves recording their next album to be entitled "Pogonophobia".
