Here is my sickening and pretentious bio:
Composer, improviser, bassplayer, multi instrumentalist.
Has played/toured/recorded with bands like Storsveit Nix Noltes, Benni Hemm Hemm, Hestbak, Borko, Atón, the nordurland symphony, Hatebreath, Stelkur, Múm, Slowblow and people like Kria Brekkan, Andrew D..Angelo, Fred Frith, Hilmar Jensson, Matthias Hemstock, Frank Denyer, Ad Peijnenburg, Steve Hubback and many many more.
Has toured all over the USA and Europe and can be heard on numerous CD..s.
Co-composed music for experimental animated film named Hidebound which won a special price for music at the NUFF young film makers festival 2005 in Norway. Through that film his music has been heard in various animation and film festivals.
His compositions have been performed a number of times in the USA, England, Netherlands and Iceland (Myrkir Músíkdagar, Listahátíð Reykjavíkur 2008, ofl.)
Has worked as a session bassplayer in numerous projects such as television commercials and films.
Has regularly been involved in music for theaters and played contrabass in numerous operas and other stage works
Is co-founder of composers society S.L.A.T.U.R. http://slatur.is/ Finished his studies (B.A.) in composition at Iceland academy of the arts where composers Atli Ingolfsson and Úlfar Ingi Haraldsson (amongst others) was his tutor. Next on the academic agenda is a research based masters programme in the Iceland Academy of the Arts starting this fall. He has briefly worked as a radio man and is now living on the mystical coming together of random elements and opportunities.
