The soul stirring music of Pankaj Awasthi creates a flutter in the minds and soul of his aficionados. Pankaj a self taught guitarist, singer, composer & producer tries to explore the virgin territory of natural music with his simple notes. His music exudes innocence and gives a new twist to the old pop standards by being direct and simple. There are catchy tunes, easy hook lines and bluesy guitars. The talent of Pankaj Awasthi is on display, and artists with such talent are hard to find.
Having amassed quite a name for himself in the contemporary music scene with the hit song ‘Tera hi Karam’ that was featured as the title track of the movie ‘Karam’ (a Harry Baweja production), Pankaj lives up to his reputation by rendering a couple of passionate sufi songs in his album titled ‘Nine’. Recently, he has composed and directed the entire background music of feature film ‘Anwar’, and rendered his unmistakable voice for one of the songs in the film composed by him.
Pankaj Awasthi who sings, plays the guitar and produces all the music, has worked on jingles, composed music for feature films, ad films, scored background music for feature films, documentaries and more….

The St. Dennis, 2003 concert was recorded live and is released by Naive Records, France.
Besides this, ‘Khuda Ka Waasta’ from the album ‘Nine’ has been picked up and remixed by the well-known German producer Friedel Lelonek and has been featured as the opening track on the album called ‘Reflections Volume 2’, a progressive world music compilation by 1K Science Records.
