Paper Plane Project was born after a digging trip to Brazil. The music and the culture of the South American country had a major effect on the guys who are now making it a regular destination for musical inspiration. Their debut EP on Cardboard City Records has a sound all about that old-school Sunday afternoon party in the park. Let It Bang, the title track is graced by Crown City Rockers MC Raashan Ahmad who joins PPP in their quest to bring soulful beats and vibes back into the realm of hiphop.
"Dope new 12" from wicked Australian label, Cardboard City. 'Let It Bang' features Raashan Ahmad on vocals and is a dope hip-hop cut with a sick hook. 'Welcome To Brazil' sounds like a fusion between Quantic and a Brazilian samba band! Wicked 12-inch!" Fat City - UK
"Artist of the week goes to Paper Plane Project, influenced by a trip to Brazil. You got to get on this! Proper good vibes for the sunshine" Hoods Radio Show - UK
There's a couple of preview tracks from StoopNES on our profile at the moment. Let us know what u think if u get a chance. Launch will be happening late Novemeber. Cheers, Stoops
What’s Crackin’ Paper Plane Project ? We’re hitting back our myspace folks to let you know that your prayers have been answered. What prayers, you may ask. Well, today my friends, the good reptiles over at Bossasaurus (namely the ones writing this message) have teamed up with Murs (Living Legends, Def Jux, 9th Wonder, etc.) to, for the first time ever, offer you a taste of our music with an emcee over them. If you hate emcees and were feeling the tranquility of our un-defiled instrumental works than we sincerely apologize for our critical error in judgment. Otherwise come on over and check out:
We hope you enjoy it. If you don't come thru and talk that sweet smack.
