Bio
.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. Danielle Paschal Fish moved to Portland in 2008, performing under the moniker "Danielle P. Fish". .. .. Missing her fellow Texan musicians (Waxahachie, TX to be precise) and realizing the band life is a better life, she sought out other geeked out and obsessed musicians to create great sounds with. .. .. It's working and we're happy. Johnny Cash and June Carter influence this project as much as old soul singers, sam beam and retro Casios. .. .. Thanks for listening. .. .. For Booking Contact: paschalcoeur@myspace.com .. .. Press: .. .. Paschal Coeur's snappy blend of sugar-pop songwriting, classic country, sprinkled with a little soul and a dash of electro on top... What on paper sounds like someone's record collection thrown in a blender is actually a fabulous success in the hands of Paschal Coeur. Songwriter Danielle Fish's commanding vocal presence (think Jenny Lewis) fronts a band that covers more ground in a single song than most bands pack into an entire career. Your ears may actually walk right off your head and say to your face: "Hey! Are you getting this? This is incredible stuff!! It sounds like nothing else I've heard and yet it's so familiar and comfy!" And your face will nod and smile before freaking out and reaching to reattach them. This show is extra special because you will leave with the band's brand new CD... which eliminates the common problem desperately trying to remember how to pronounce/correctly spell the name for your myspace search later on. -THWBRO -

How are you? My New friend. Thanks a lot for adding
Thanks for being friends with Fair Trade Music PDX! As you know, we're still gathering intelligence about how venues in town are treating their bands. So far, the story's not too good, but a few of them looks like they might be willing to man up and pay musicians some kind of guaranteed minimum wage - the kind that is the law for dishwashers, janitors, bartenders, and every other service worker in the club. Help us identify those venues! If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to complete our online survey. It’s completely anonymous, incredibly simple, and is essential to moving Fair Trade Music into the next level of venue implementation.
The survey is at: http://fairtrademusicpdx.org/?q=node/275
It’s a cliché because it’s true – WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR HELP!
Thanks, and Solidarity,
Fair Trade Music PDX
