Born the daughter of a German mother and a Liberian father, Pat Appleton had come to Germany to study politics, but she soon discovered that she could be a far better ambassador for music than for political affairs. After numerous performances as the lead or background singer in various bands, and excursions into advertisement and film music, she joined the sound collective De-Phazz in 1998, where she supplies lyrics and lead vocals to this day.
With the track The Mambo Craze De-Phazz finally reached international acclaim. De-Phazz received two German Echo nominations and entered the Top Ten of the German charts with the album Daily Lama. The album Death by Chocolate remained in the Jazz charts for countless weeks. As one of the most important new voices of contemporary German Jazz, (German TV channel 3Sat), Pat Appleton tours the entire world with De-Phazz and not only works as a songwriter but also as a guest singer for other Bands i. e. Jazzkantine, Nighthawks, Airmate, Kurt Maloo.
On September 14, 2007 Pat Appleton has released her debut album "What's Next?", which was produced in collaboration with some of Europes most talented and respected producers of the electro, lounge and nu-jazz genre, including Gabin, Naoki Kenji, Klaus Bau Jensen/Bliss, De-Phazz, Mystic Diversions, Vienna D.C., Chris Zippel, Thorsten Stenzel just to name a few. Collectively they have created an unusual kaleidoscope of styles featuring the versatility of Pats voice and her lyrical talent. Whats next? is the ongoing question that unfolds as the album takes you on an enticing excursion full of musical surprises, international encounters and multicolored impressions. This smart cosmopolitan soundtrack for modern living will touch your mind, your body and your soul.
Pat Appleton also joined the Bahama Soul Club in 2007 and contributed to the Album "Rhythm is what makes Jazz Jazz" and will be touring with De-Phazz with the new Bigband Album this winter.

No comprendo que pretende, ni cuales son sus verdaderas motivaciones, la verdad, cada dia entiendo menos todo esto, pero aunque no me llame y no sepa nada de él... siempre apoyaré a mi hijo incluso en una locura como esta.

1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
