Me, my guitar and sometimes a laptop. I have been lucky enough to collaborate with many wonderful players over the years, chief amongst them Rolo, David J, Paul Mulreany, Richard Formby, Owen Jones and the frankly disturbing Max Eider. And Dooj is cool.

Come and have a go if you think you're rich enough
I come from the 20th Century. I was born in West London at the end of the fifties, and I swear that things really were in black and white back then. As a small boy with a love for Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, I remember seeing Doctor Who and the Beatles for the first time the same rainy Saturday afternoon in 1963. As I grew a little older I was exposed to the full impact of the Beatles, the Pink Floyd, the Avengers and the Prisoner. I was also introduced to the work of my softly-spoken, charming "Uncle" Terry. He turned out to be Terence Fisher, director of Hammer studio horror pictures. Listen, pal. I was a goth before you were a goth. Believe me..........From 1983 I wrote, sang and played with The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy. We made a bunch of records (many of which you can now find on I-Tunes) and toured the world. We had a good time nearly all the time and I'm profoundly grateful to all concerned. Here's a scary wee video of one of the singles that we made for Creation Records back in 1990 ............And here is some recently, as they say, unearthed footage of Eider and me, in New York City in 1999. It takes a while to get going, this one, but bear with it. ............These days I spend most of my time in Northampton NN1. It's a cool sort of town where most people still have a functioning bullshit detector. I play guitar in a band called Wilson, whom you can check out at www.myspace.com/wilsondub - we are bad muthas and not good near water..........I like to go out and play solo gigs of my own too. Sometimes I play completely acoustic, just man and guitar, which is something like what you see on this video from London's 12 Bar Club last year.

Hello Mr Fish how's tricks? I'm back in nice but dull Milton Keynes for the Summer/hopefully not forever and it would be good to catch up with you in NN1 if you're about and get crazy. See you in the funny pages x Charlie
Hello Pat, thanks for the contribution to my 1st record blog. It was almost too hip... lol. What a great start to your record buying career. I used to get a lot of stuff from spinadisc, even remember getting a butcher album there...... Ta Bobby
A lurvely nacht, I'd say. Sorry we had to split before you finished, we was like racing for train, innit. But, yeah - a swell and good evening of fine music and well-dressed vibe!
Howdy guvnor, Your 12-bar gig looks like it's gonna be a great one. Wish I could make it but I've been drafted by Joe for a Constitution gig... guess if I passed on a potential gig for myself for a gig by someone else, it would be time to just give up, eh? Still, makes your Labour Club one unmissable. Looking forward to it already! Matt x
TORTUGA BAR - STORM EP (VIERSIEBEN RECORDS/FINETUNES) OUT NOW!
This online EP release (5 Tracks & Artwork) is not just an appetizer for the album which follows on June 26 - among the album versions of "Storm" (feat. Evan Dando) and "Feel the Love" it contains a remix of "Storm", made by labelmates Monocular, the track "Cavallo Pazzo (Song For Mondo Fumatore To Sing)" feat. Werner Kureinski, former member of Aheads and "Do It Right", a nice version of the Daniel Johnston song performed by Tortuga Bar and Navel.
