---this page will be under constant construction---
for an UBER EXTENSIVE and informative collection of articles, please visit the 13th Planet Records' Raven page HERE
The only focus of this page is the remembrance of PAUL RAVEN. You are here because you know who he is, what he has done and where he is now. As a musician in and out of many bands that toured the globe and a productive partner in the creation of many recordings, it is obvious Paul had many people everywhere. Friends, family, cohorts, coworkers, bandmates, fans, stalkers, enemies, acquaintences... this is a crazy industry, and I like to think that Paul Raven made it even crazier during his time in its freakishly cozy grasp. This page is for all of your comments, and since I am not Paul Raven nor his cop, I will only remove robot spam- other than that, any thoughts, stories and especially photos and videos are welcome here. I am keeping this as a myspace for a bit to collect all of your "stuff" for the web page i am working on.
I figured this would be more accurate and wider scoped than a moderated or monopolized Raven tribute page. This guy was much bigger than one entity can represent, so, that is being left up to those of you who are here to share a memory or two of a great musician,a friend of many and a guy who really REALLY left his mark.
like i said, all data from this page will be forwarded to the brand new and ongoing www.paulraventribute.com
(right now it just reflects this page)
i will build onto the page and maintain it forEVER, so expect a big kick ass project out of it.

This represents the last studio recordings of Raven, who sadly passed away in his sleep in 2007. The album is released on 25th May, we are encouraging all fans to pre-order the CD so that it charts on release.. in support of Raven and his family.. Holy City Zoo is up now! .

"Hard-driving industrial rock to stomp your highly polished boots to" Metal Hammer magazine
"Holy City Zoo’ is a classic album that stands out and will be recognized the most with its upbeat tempos and fast racing music sending your heart and mind into overdrive!" ReflectionsofDarkness.com
“Holy City Zoo” is a savage ride with dirty, Industrial edge, by the sunniest landscapes of MINISTRY, KILLING JOKE and also FILTER. One of the surprises of the year!" 8/10 <a href="http://www.msplinks.com/M
... and take a look to Geordie walker's myspace, a Damage Manual song has been added, but... oh, but it isn't Geordie playing on it... But no one seems to care...
WAKEY WAKEY ! ! ! i think that's just a shame "The Wait" has been put there as the only Killing Joke song, as far as it wasn't Paul playing on the first album... I just think this is a bit of a lack of respect to Paul Vincent Raven... Rest In Peace Paul, they don't know what they're doing...
MOB RULES: MOB RESEARCH 'HOLY CITY ZOO' CD RELEASED 22 MAY...
The highly anticipated Mob Research album 'Holy City Zoo' will be released on Echozone records in Europe and Code7 in the UK on 22 May. A US release will be announced soon. The band - featuring the late Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Ministry/Prong) on bass, Mark Gemini Thwaite (The Mission/Tricky/Peter Murphy) on guitars, Kory Clarke (Warrior Soul/Trouble) on vocals and Nick Lucero (ex-Queens of The Stone Age/Peter Murphy) on drums - have also lauched their official website at www. mobresearchinc. com.
Mob Research is the bastard offspring of Raven and Thwaite. Both born and bred in the Midlands UK, the pair first jammed together back in 1989 then went their separate ways, crossing paths occasionally over the years before reuniting in Los Angeles in spring 2007 to collaborate on Mob Research. Sadly Paul Raven passed away in his sleep in late 2007 at age 46 from a suspected heart attack, leaving MGT and Kory Clarke to complete vocals and overdubs on 10 songs.
"Holy City Zoo' was executive produced by Thwaite and Tim Palmer (H.I.M/Pearl Jam/Ozzy Osbourne) with additional mixing by Hilton Thiessen/Maor Appelbaum and features 10 new songs featuring Raven/Thwaite/Clarke/Lucero plus 7 bonus remixes by SiNDADDY, Elektrofish, DJ Rob (Sanctuary Radio), Artemis and Metalmorphosis.
Check out the March issue of METAL HAMMER magazine (UK) for a featurette and Q&A with the band... plus click below for interview with Mark Thwaite shot at Matt Sorum's (Velvet Revolver) Holywood studio where MarkGT talks with Protone about the forthcoming Mob Research album.. http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=CgPr7KZDe0E
