About me:

The "Pipes and Drums of the Jersey Shore Shillelaghs" was created in 1998 to promote the fun and enjoyment of bagpipes and drumming as a way to keep in touch with our Irish culture and heritage.

We are primarily a parade band, not a competition band. We are a non-profit organization. Approximately 20% of our performances are for charities, fund raisers and other volunteer organizations.

The band is sponsored by the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of the Jersey Shore, Belmar NJ. However, band members need not be members of the club. All we request is that our members have an honest interest in the growth and character of our band.

Who I'd like to meet:

We are always looking for new members. If you have experience or always wanted to learn to play the bagpipes or drums, we will teach you free of charge.

We practice on Tuesday evenings at the Ascension Church in Bradley Beach (in the gym) with beginners starting about 6:30pm.
