Jabril Muhammad is a senior at Los Angeles High School. A gifted poet, he’s focused on graduating and getting into college where he plans to pursue acting and journalism. Jabril performs periodically in Leimert Park and is a member of UCLA GEAR UP, an academic outreach program that prepares teens for college.
Katina Parker, Writer & Director
Katina Parker works as a visual artist in Los Angeles, where her clients have included Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Saul Williams, and Cody ChesnuTT. Her body of work encompasses television and film writing/directing/producing; graphic/web design; photography; and mixed media installations.
Currently, Katina is in post production for New Orleans: A Labor of Love, a public awareness campaign to get 5,000 student volunteers to rebuild the city during 2008: http://www.nolaboroflove.com
Earlier this year, Katina’s short “Radimi: Who Stole the Dream,” debuted on BET Jazz. The film features Mehcad Brooks, formerly of “Desperate Housewives,” and tells the story of a college-bound teenage couple’s fight to stay together for the sake of their 2-year old daughter.
Other projects include a coffee table photo essay book on homelessnesss and another on the Million Man, Million Woman, Million Youth, and Million Family Marches.
Katina received her M.F.A. from the University of Southern California and her B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Dahéli Hall – Creative Producer/Co-writer
Dahéli's first short film, THE MEMO was an HBO Short Film Award Finalist at 2004 American Black Film Festival (the film is currently airing on HBO). THE MEMO is a 35mm satire about a memo that starts the black revolution and the one brother who didn't get the memo. Dahéli wrote, directed and stars in the film.
This year, Dahéli brings forth a satiric short, MANDINGO IN A BOX. She is also working on a musical on the Haitian immigrant experience, called REFUGEE, which has been commissioned by the Miami Performing Arts Center.
