Started Stand-up Comedy in Febuari 2007.In November 2007 I had a very wierd week :
I had my first hate mail : "you suck", "stay away", "Women doing political jokes ... NOT funny"
2 days later I met my first 2 fans !
Not my mom and dad, but complete strangers.
"Is it you?", "oh my God, it is really you!", "Maria, I told you it’s really her" "aaaaaaaaaaaa" ( hysterical scream ) "You are awsome", "love your work" "we laught our butts off"
A very wierd week !
At that point I thought : "Peggy, let do something crazy" "Get yourselve a Myspace".
Influences
Lot’s of comedians, but I’m not giving you any names. It wouldn’t be fair to those I’m ’bout to forget. Everyone has his/her own style and I love ’em all ! Lot’s of musical influences : Dave Gahan for being such a Rock God ! Amy Winehouse for just being drunk !
