Pensive Fear is the brainchild of TOM BROWN Started back in 1997, Tom wanted to play and write more progressive material than what most bands were doing at that time. So Tom got Joel Stiles to do some vocal tracks for the new cd, and Dan Way was already a part of the project because he played with Tom in STRICKLY WIKKID. Ok Back to PENSIVE FEAR at that time it was called "HINDERENCE" and the cd was titled: Beyond The Limit, after recording some tracks everything went great til the last song titled: Forbidden Entry, as for recording the song, that went great too. But thats when the brainstorm happened and the title to the cd changed to: "FORBIDDEN ENTRY". Tom Loved the way the song turned out minus the bad quality of recording. And thought here is the new title. And instead of being "HINDERENCE" lets change it to something that fits the music better? And the record label SCARIFIDE, So lets kind of title it the same.
Thats how PENSIVE FEAR was born, from being scary to real scary. Thats how you get "PENSIVE FEAR". Now as for the release the cd, it was never really mastered because the tracks was deleted and instead of re-recording the entire E.P. it was left as is Bad quality and all. And still got airplay and sold !!! In Limited Edition form and was never re-recorded even in "PENSIVE FEAR - THE COLLECTION" which has about 20 songs on it !

Here is a brief outline about THE AWAKENING CD ?
Krakatau erupted in 1883, in one of the largest eruptions in recent times. The eruption was so loud it was heard over 1/13th of the earths surface. For example: If it erupted in modern times, Like New York City people could hear the blast in California about the same time it went off? Giant waves reached heights of 40 m above sea level, destroying everything in its path and hurling ashore coral blocks weighing as much as 600 tons. At least 36,417 people were killed, most by the giant sea waves, and 165 coastal villages were totally destroyed. When the eruption ended only 1/3 of Krakatau, formerly 5x9 km, remained above sea level, and new islands of steaming pumice and ash lay to the north where the sea had been 36 m deep. Tide gauges also recorded the sea wave's passage far from Krakatau. The wave "reached Aden in 12 hours, a distance of 3800 nautical miles, usually taking a steam ship 12 days". WOW !!!! Blue and green suns were observed as fine ash and aerosol, erupted perhaps 50 km into the stratosphere, circled the equator in 13 days.
Three months after the eruption these products had spread to higher latitudes causing such vivid red sunset afterglows that fire engines were called out in New York, Poughkeepsie, and New Haven to quench the apparent conflagration. Unusual sunsets continued for 3 years.
The volcanic dust veil that created such spectacular atmospheric effects also acted as a solar radiation filter, lowering global temperatures as much as 1.2 degree C in the year after the eruption. Temperatures did not return to normal until 1888. Every recording barograph in the world ducumented the passage of the airwave, some as many as 7 times as the wave bounced back and forth between the eruption site and its antipodes for 5 days after the explosion. This cd has a twist with hints of what happened to me in my personal life as well. It was really hard writing a story within a story but I did it ! See if you can figure it out? Just read the lyrics? Hint? Where The Answer lies.. & Anguish And Betrayal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
