About me:
Good Evening. I am famous for my larynx tight shouts during football games of which I commentate on. You might hear me squeal the following words: Ripsnorter, Touch Paper, Whip, Belter, Vivacious, Beauty, Of Course, Loving It, Goal, Golden Goal, Has Ever A Goal Been So Golden, Power, Little Bull, Pace and many more. Please find my a summary of myself below. After 8 years with BBC Radio, Peter joined ITV Sport in March 1998. Since then, he has been a leading member of the channels commentary team at two World Cups (France 98 and Korea/Japan 2002) and the European Championships both in 2000 and 2004. In addition, he has worked at the forefront of ITVs various European and domestic football portfolios, including many high-profile matches in the Champions League (not least the 2003 quarter-final meeting of Real Madrid and Manchester United), live FA Cup and Worthington Cup ties, the Nationwide League and, since August 2001, Premiership highlights. Prior to ITV, Peter had worked on a variety of sports with the BBC. As well as commenting on football (including Euro 96 and the 1996 European Cup Final), he was part of a Sony Award winning golf commentary team (over two Ryder Cups and three Open Championships) and contributed to coverage of tennis, cricket, swimming, athletics and the University Boat Race. In addition, he did much radio sports presentation. Beyond broadcasting, Peter has been a regular columnist for the Independant newspaper and has written for numerous sporting publications. He is also the voice of the "This is Football" Playstation game , made by Sony. A politics graduate from the university of Hull Peter's off-duty days are devoted to his family and his cricket club.

Hi Peter,

Wonderful commentary of the UEFA Cup Final. Such a shame it was relegated to ITV4 though.

Thanks for adding us. I can't believe the United result today. Seven goals. Amazing. My Roma friends here in Canada went very quiet....

Peter, thanks for the add.

Your inspired use of the English language makes your commentaries so memorable. A perfect contrast to David Pleat's hilariously lame attempts at player pronounciation!

I particularly enjoy your introductory sequences and half and full-time summaries. The comment during the Chelsea / Porto game "a rouble for Roman's thoughts... a penny for yours" was fabulous!

Loved the coverage of Middlesbrough's Uefa semi against Steaua Bucharest last year as well.

There are precious few in the broadcast media who combine real talent with professionalism. You, sir, are one who does.

Hi Peter, You may remember we met at the Carling/ITV lunch a few months ago. Hope you're well.

I was wondering whether you could help with something? Do you know whether Jermaine Easter is the only player to score in every round of the League Cup? Can't seem to find the answer anywhere!

Cheers mate

Leo
