Peter Jöback ”Eastside Stories” - album out this fall. On January 2nd in 2009 Peter Jöback moved to New York and East Village and set ground for a new environment, new meetings, new inspiration. And a new album. Together with musicians from Sweden and USA, Peter and producer Lars Halapi went to classic Woodstock and Clubhouse Studio to record ”Eastside Stories” – an album where Peter cover songs originally performed by Divine Comedy, Rufus Wainright, Chris Isaak, Travis and Depeche Mode. ”- Eastside Stories” is inspired by my move to New York. I’ve chosen these songs because they in one way or another connect to the life that goes on in East Village where I live, the people I’ve met and the life I’ve come to live. Every song has it’s own significance and I love each and every one of them, says Peter." ”Eastside Stories” is set to be released in early October and will be Peters 11th solo album. During his stay in New York Peter has had the opportunity to meet a lot of exciting musicians and some of them are also guest starring on the album: Kate Pierson from the B52’s, who also has sung together with R.E.M, Iggy Pop and the Ramones. www.theb52s.com Sia - the wonderful, Grammy nominated artist from Australia, who now lives in New York. Her song ”Breathe Me” was played frequently in the tv-series ”Six feet under”. She has also collaborated with Zero 7. Her latest album is titled ”Some people have real problems”. www.siamusic.net / www.myspace.com/siamusic Gail Ann Dorsey – bass player with David Bowie and a back up vocalist for ten years. Vet inte om du minns, men för typ ett år sen knappt så var du på Rytmus Musikergymnasium på söder i sthlm och då var jag där när du berättade om ditt liv och hur du hamnat där du är idag.
