Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the health and well-being of GLBT persons and their families through SUPPORT, to cope with an adverse society; through EDUCATION, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and through ADVOCACY, to end discrimination and to secure fair and equal civil rights. PFLAG provides the opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

We have been informed by the Event Coordintor of Atlanta Georgia's Pride that is being held Oct.31st" We are NOT welcome there for the kick off of The Marriage Equality Tour" A state that is So Important for Civil Rights.. Camp Lickalotta	Jul 14 2009 10:03 PM Fellow Lickalotta's, Nancy and I are so excited to have the opportunity to be able to tour the United States with Hersband and wife for the Marriage equity tour.. This has been a dream of ours to go through out the US and meet all of our Lickalotta's and take part in such important issue as marriage equity.. However we need everyone's help to make this dream come true.. First go to the Hersband and wife's website and read all about this tour. Second donate.... donate... any amount will be most appreciated.. Every dollar will give all of us a louder voice against this injustice.. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D ~ Dee ~

Camp Lickalotta	Mar 19 2009 6:43 PM Lickaotta's it's time to start planning for Lickalotta Fest 09' to be held June 19, 20, 21st . It will be held at Etowah River Campground, Dahlonega, GA. 706-864-9035 This year's theme is Lickalotta-PESSIMISM. And, boy! is there a lot of that out there this year. We would love to see ALL the Lickalotta's out there this year showing their support for Camp Lickalotta and licking-a-lotta-of PESSIMISM that weekend. Here are the websites to make your reservations. www.lickalottafest.com and www.etowahrivercampground.com 704-864-9035 Jaki and Darrell are expecting your call. Just let them know you want to make a reservation for Lickalotta Fest 09' and they will take care of you. Arrival time is 3 PM Friday, June 19th and Departure time is 3 PM Sunday, June 21st. The BANDS will be playing Saturday night and vendors will be on hand as well. Vendors that are interested in being part of Lickalotta Fest 09' we encourage you to let us know at camplickalotta@aol.com We will walk you through the process of registration and reserve your vending spot. Let's get together this year, June 19, 20, 21st and Lickalotta-PESSIMISM together. It will be a fun weekend NO DOUBT! The cost for the entire weekend is $25 per person. So, whether you are a tenter that wants to make reservations early to get the best tent sites available or you are bringing an RV, by the way there are over 50 RV sites to choose from it it $25 per person. Etowah River Campground has Gated Security, handicapped accessible, washers/dryers, showers/toliets, fire wood available, ice, and tubing. We will be having a 50/50 drawing with the proceeds going to Camp Lickalotta and one lucky winner. There will also be some free give a ways.
