During their almost-five-years
lifetime, Phidge have hit several stages (some of which abroad), were
invited at festivals such as Heineken Jammin' Festival, Neapolis, Six
Day Sonic Madness 8.0 and Handmade, where they shared the billboard
with Afterhours, Karate, Maritime and Hot Club de Paris. In january
2007, they entered the Vacuum Studios to record their first full length
'It's All About to Tell', out from January 11th 2008 on the italian
indie label Riff Records, with artwork provided by Tuono Pettinato.
In summer 2008, their version of David Bowie's Little Wonder was picked
by the national radio show Dispenser for its space "La Cover del Giorno"
(Cover of the Day), where major italian indie acts such as Les Man Avec
Les Lunettes, Settlefish and Amari gave out interpretations of modern
classics. After a lineup change, the guys are now part of the Labile
Booking Agency's roster, and are looking forward to kick as many more
stages as they can, while working on their sophomore album.

I Waines sono tornati. E l'hanno fatto in gran stile. Dopo soltanto un Ep – il riuscito "A controversial earl playing" – che ce li aveva presentati come un combo rock'n'roll bello energico, ecco finalmente l'album d'esordio.
Con "Stu" i siciliani decidono di andarci giù pesante, piazzandosi in questo 2009 con un signor disco. rock'n'roll, che rimanda al blues pestato caro ai "cugini" Pan del diavolo e poi chitarre che deviano assecondando vocalizzi vagamente seventies, che ricordano i Blind Melon . Con il suo ritmo in levare, "Let me be" il paragone è immediato con band tipo Artic Monkeys. Le stesse analogie si possono ritrovare in altri pezzi, come nell'irresistibile "Server".

Recorded in his own studio based in Rome, after 3 years of hard work and changes, Crazy Glue contains different musical experiences that the artist experimented reaching an original sound after the past releases on labels such Subculture and Urban pressure.
The E.P. is a set of tunes that ranging from jumpup to neurofunk. Much attention is given in the sound and rhythmic arrangements and it is into melodic tracks such as “bad”, “when I go” and “stop” that this collage get maximum pressure into dance floors.
You can for sure find some inspiration from this funny, yet serious, sticky, tricky album, Where we blending past and future into carzy present.

Da soprassedere perché troppo vicino ai modelli americani (Mush, Anticon, Plug Research) e/o berlinesi (Scape, Morr)? Troppo facile. Più gratificante è cercare le citazioni letterarie sparse (Lee Masters e Carver, oltre alla napoleonica corrispondenza d’amorosi sensi del titolo), crogiolarsi negli accenti patetici che lo costellano senza tregua, cogliere i numerosi intarsi naif dei fin troppo scriccioli brani, bearsi delle illogicità nelle introflesse strutture-canzone. .. .. ..
