Bonn, Paris, Innsbruck, Lienz, Vienna, Graz ... this or similarly running the gauntlet is the typical life style of the musical talent with the Funk in his name. He seems to be homeless in his creative efforts in which Funk & Soul are strongly reduced in the dub woven context to enhance the whole release with rap vocals – or even not so. The dedication with which he devotes his music to is reflected in his ever growing collection of records. Therefore, it only makes sense that Phil has played Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Dub, Dubstep or Electro at parties or at events as required for already ten years. He has partnered with such names as Beware, Funkti- onist, Kid Fresh, DJ Food, James Mountain, Diesler, Joker, DJ Spookey, Hextatic and Grandmaster Flash at the turntables. Looking beyond the limits of the turntable domain, Phil is certainly not reluctant to work with live musicians as documented with the recent success with Gustavo Vohena Marcachini (bass) and with the percussionist Oliver Deutsch.
