i haven't been to bike polo in forever but i went for a while last night and i must complain that it was not much fun. what the hell happened? all i saw was a bunch of jocks being jerks to each other and acting needlessly over competitive. you know who you are and if you happen to read this please try to act just a little more mature out there, i miss the days when polo was good, drunk fun and last night made me feel very sad and dissapointed.

yes and no. yes, you will eventually need a passport, and no, you don't need one until 2008 at the earliest to come and play in ottawa. canadians and americans are allowed to arrive at both land and sea ports of entry with only a driver's license and a birth certificate (and the equivalents: government-issued photo i.d. (preferably a driver's license) and a proof of citizenship (birth cert, landed immigrant status, etc..) it's perfectly valid and legal to enter canada (or the u.s.) without a passport, they don't even make a deal of it at the border at all except to remind you to apply for a passport. you can arrive by car, by train, by bus, or by boat and you're all alright.
if you want to fly here (or there), it's another story, you'll need a passport-- but everything else
