Along with Brian Downey, Scott Gorham, Brian Robertson, Eric Bell, Gary Moore, Snowy White, John Sykes and Darren Wharton, PHIL LYNOTT traveled all over the planet playing LIZZY'S amazing songs, and recorded some of the best records in rock 'n' roll. Some of these LP's include: THIN LIZZY (1971), JAILBREAK (1976), BLACK ROSE (1979), RENEGADE (1982), FIGHTING (1975), VAGABONDS OF THE WESTERN WORLD (1973) & the seminal live album LIVE AND DANGEROUS (1978). PHILIP LYNOTT died tragically on January 4th, 1986 at the age of 36. He had much more to give, but his music lives on through the millions of fans around the world that love his work, and especially in Dublin, Ireland, and in the heart of his beloved mother Philomena Lynott. Can someone answere this for me, John Norum ex-Europe guitar hero, has abouthalf adozen Thin lizzy songs in his arsenol. Was he irish man and thin Lizzy fan. If you have never heard him play "opium Trail " you havent heard a tribute to Thin Lizzy before. This guy cooks on the solo. Underrated guitar player in the world. Thanks for the greatest years of my lif growing up with Scott and Brian. I miss Phil!!
I remember the first song I herd it was Johnny The Fox ..I herd in a bar one night and I was like who is this it was such a unique sounding voice.. the next day went out and bought the record and to my surprise I had discovered that it affected my soul big time...more then anything that I have ever herd.. quit profound I guess you could say.. when music touches you like that and makes your hair stand on ends is something you hold sacred.. the tone of his hunting voice echos forever in my heart ...I love him so deeply an amazing spirit who walkED the earth and touched the lives of many with his heartfelt expression..Deepest love k
just bought the new album still dangerous, awesome, I went to a few shows at the tower in my youth, man that neighborhood has gone down, hope u guys will play there again though
