Hi, my name is Courtney Zepeda-Hawkes. I am a make-up artist/hairstylist for photography. Over the past three years, I have decided to try my hand at photography. While I have been an avid enthusiast for years and own way more cameras than the average citizen, I just decided that I wanted to create images of beautiful make-up and hair for my portfolio. That's where this ongoing journey began.
There are plenty of photographers with lots of nifty gadgets, lights and assistants. I am not one of those photographers. I like to keep things simple. Usually, it's just me, my camera and a reflector...occasionally a flash. I think the fact that I am still learning drives me to create the best photos I can. I want my subjects to look their VERY best...that is my ultimate goal.
I have a few models that have been kind enough to let me drag them all over and take photos of them. I am always looking for a new face! I consider limited TFP/TFCD for modeling portfolios, but my rates are very reasonable. My work is not limited to model portfolios, I also enjoy shooting engagement photos, senior portraits and children.
I posted my NYC Fall Fashion Week 09 Wrap up Blog on my page. I'd really appreciate it if you'd check it out & let me know what you think. I'd be interested to hear you're feedback. :)
