The apes have been listening to lots of lectures on musical theory, harmonic balance, and melodic dissonance; then have been placed in a room with music making computers.
Phylum Sinter is the pseudonym of 28 [born December 26, 1980] year old C.Todd, a Detroit-area native currently living in the outskirts of the City. He has been making music for as long as he's been able to read/write [4-5 days].
When asked on his goals, he had this to say:
"Currently, I am fascinated with the interplay of senses. I continue to explore synaesthetic responses. It is my goal to get to the point where I am comfortable applying the observations made on altering mindstates via sound and rhythm to provoke emotional, mental and physical responses in the listener -- much in the same way film directors or poets can."
***note: The most recent Free collection is the Exclusive Remasters 2004-2006 LP, downloadable for free from last.fm. Get it right here, donate a buck or two if you'd like to see more for free.
::::Re: More for free
-- I realize there are a good amount of people out there that still people prefer to have their music on physical media along with the art and such (stay strong!!). Though it's largely unsaid, standard practice is to give anyone that donates directly to me [via the paypal button above] $5 or greater will receive a thank you gift, usually in the form of self-pressed cd's filled with unreleased tracks, drafts and works in progress, or at least links to some higher quality DRM-free mp3's that you can burn and keep on whatever medium you choose.
Donations of $10 or more will get a pro-pressed cd or compilation from the archive (outside the u.s. this is trickier, but i'll try to accomodate!).
Be sure to have your address listed on your donation if you wish to receive anything! :]
(Very) Limited Edition CDs with unreleased material are currently in the planning phase. Vinyl may happen too.

:::04.09.2009::: Instead of updating this thing by hand, i'm implementing the flash widget (which should be right above this) that will have up to date info on what i'm hacking from Twitter. For album announcements i'll still be using the combo of bulletins and myspace blog... with the occasional gross invite to purchase genuine data and physical articles. That kinda bothers me when it's abused so it will be very sparingly. Goodnight, old news method.
:::03.11.2009::: Breaktime OVER, time to work! OK so i'm not great with keeping all of my pages updated. I can accept that, can you? So much has happened since i last updated this section that you're better off googling my name or checking at least the myspace blog. 'From Unity To Segmentation' EP is done, will be released on CD via Abandon Building Records -- expect a firm release date soon. I'm also nearly done writing an as-yet untitled EP to be released digitally/itunes et al. for Middle Management Recordings. It should see release before Summer. 5 Songs on it, more details as the songs materialize. Focusing with great intent ..ing my LP called 'Amongst Fauna and Wiring' for Tympanik Audio, and have given myself plenty of time to let the ideas gestate, they're coming along well now. A load of mostly free compilations are in the release queue too, one for IVDT (see top of page, clicky clicky for download now!), one for Xynthetic, one for Volume Voice and one for Soulseek Records that should be finalized any day now. All 4 should see release before summer rolls in. Exciting stuff! Most of the time i forget how busy i am, thanks for reading this and making me remember what i do all day. Til next time, enjoy! (p.s. most updates will be at the blog/bulletin only, so subscribe to those if you care to hear whats timely).

1. Sunrise, Nightfall 2. Sinai Dub 3. Rain Down (feat. Kevin Robinson) 4. Belly of the Beast 5. Most High Dub
Mikuś returns with his second strong dub release on Planet Terror. Rain Down Dub is another showcase for his inimitable approach to the genre, combining grainy old school distortion with modern production styles. 'Rain Down' features another guest appearance from Kevin Robinson on flute. This is dub for the 21st century.
Just a quick note to let you know that I have a new free digital release out
now on Cock Rock Disco if you would like to take a listen.
Heres what label owner Jason Forrest had to say!
Herv: "Not figuratively, but literally in love with Music..."
"Ireland's sexiest laptopper lands his latest mini-album on Cock Rock Disco!
"Not figuratively, but literally in love with Music..." is a rave inspired
experimental break-acid-core thrill ride of endless ideas and possibilities.
Herv packs a lot into the 8 tracks; melodies evolve and twist, beats
fracture and congeal and synths collide! It's exciting! But that's not all,
it comes with 2 cd designs and a freakin A0 sized poster! Whoa! Can't beat
the value in that!"
we are glad to let you know that our new EP « For The Sake Of Being Awake » has been released on MOLE LISTENING PEARLS.
It contains an exceptional future lounge mélange moving somewhere between jazz, rock, and house - something to explore!
Again, besides our vocalist Jennifer Tessun, the voice of our guest vocalist from Denmark Soffie Viemose is featured on three of the tracks.
A special musical experiment is provided through the cooperation with the German rock band Semuc, which led to the creation of a unique version of « Lucid Dreams », the title track of our previous EP Lucid Dreaming EP (2008, Parasol Phonotheque).
The long-awaited and highly-anticipated debut CD from New York’s amazing young new talent Access To Arasaka has finally arrived. With a steady momentum of buzz from fans and critics over the past year, remix collaborations with Zentriert ins Antlitz, Aphorism, and Totakeke, and more-than-well-received compilation appearances for the Hymen Records and Tympanik Audio labels, Access To Arasaka now offers the true scope of his capabilities with his innovative new album ‘Oppidan‘.
Out now as a co-release between Spectraliquid and Tympanik Audio.
Yo Phylum Sinterasaurus. I just found out that we're related...and as a special family only present we've made a new song for you called "End of Days" (start doing backflips now). It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them. Please come to our page, give it a listen and let us know if it makes you feel like something catastrophic is gonna happen. If the song upsets you too much we will be holding several s support groups (read: comcerts) in the near future. Check our page for locations, dates and times.
hellYAHH!!! Randomform comes with two 30min show case mixes supporting Crazy Language. all tracks mashed up, mutated, overlaped and modified in Randomform's manner of sound design. check it out!!!
