We are a band that developed out of our High School Guitar Club. Some of us kept playing together on our own time, and continued playing out at open-mics all around the capital region. Everything evolved to this band, "Pickers and Grinners". The name "Pickers and Grinners" actually comes from the Steve Miller Song (The Joker). We are also available to be booked. Send us a message on myspace, or contact us via e-mail ( pickersandgrinners@gmail.com ) to check availability for a show.

You mean the one at the hotel on Thursdays? I have no idea as I have not talked to them. Emily Smith is doing a showcase there on he 29th for the NECMA and I am running sound for that. You should come down and hang if you can. It is a Sunday afternoon. I don't mean to play, just to come and watch.
Hey Ben I saw you yesterday driving through the school parking lot - tried to wave but ya didn't see me. Anyhow - hope all is rocking at FM and with the band. Let me know if you need anything.
Huge thanks for the friend request, I really hope you like the songs. My new EP - "The way we are" - should be coming out insanely soon so please keep checking my page for updates.
Walkin' Man's the type of infectious that you want to have. Haha. I was never actually in the T Mocks. I sat in with them a few times. Phenomenal players. Hopefully see you soon. -Mike
Everything was approved for Friday. As far as I heard Robin said it was a great idea and all we are waiting on is power to the location we are gonna be setting up at. Open mic at the high school with Pickers and Grinners as the house band - sounds like a winner to me. :)
Trying to get Adam to paint up his face to show school spirit but he just isn't going for it. If you are gonna be bringing your stuff I should come up there maybe on Thursday and go over it with you.
OMG - Java was dead tonight. No one came so I played by myself for like 20 minutes. Than Adam got up and mad eup something about Judy and dead fish while I played 'Enter Sandman'. Then someone played for real - then it was a free for all. For the most part it was like people over 60/70 got up and did stuff. People who had come all summer and watched. The really weird thing was that The Leader Herald came out to cover it. All summer long and nothing. The night that only one person shows up they come.
Hope you gig went well tonight. See you at the homecoming show at the school.
