PICTURE BOOK celebrates the music of the British Invasion with a vast repertoire of songs by The Beatles, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, and many more classic groups from the 60's and early 70's. While a large portion of their repertoire comes from the British Isles, PICTURE BOOK is equally adept at playing American Rock & Roll by the likes of Creedence Clearwater Revival,
The Doors, Bob Seger, and Otis Redding.
PICTURE BOOK, originally known as The Harry Rags, was formed as a tribute to The Kinks by former members of Houston's legendary Dreambreakers band. Following the popularity of this endeavor, the good chaps expanded their set list to include more of their favorite artists, thus creating a picture perfect cover band!
PICTURE BOOK features exceptional singers, world-class harmonies, and high caliber musicianship as they faithfully recreate exciting Rock & Roll from the 60's and 70's. The band was nominated “Best Cover Band” 2007 in the Houston Press, while the outstanding musicians in the band have received numerous local accolades and nominations including “Best Vocalist,” “Best Guitarist,” and “Best Drummer.”
PICTURE BOOK has performed for clients including The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (Mixers & Elixirs), The City of Houston (Freedom Over Texas July 4th Celebration), Kingwood College, The Houston Press (Menu of Menus), The Discovery Green, The Krewe of Maximillian, and The Central Market.
