Pig in a Poke is an indie-alternative english speaking Greek band based at the city of Volos. First appearance was April 2005, and after that many live appearances followed, mainly at Cafe Santan rock bar for two consecutive years on a weekly basis.
This passed year the band appeared in Volos with many known artists of the same genre, like Abbie Gale, B-Sides, The Place Within, The Fuzzy Nerds, Mr Minimal, Ska Bangies and Pavlos Pavlides & The B-Movies.
From the spring of 2008 until the summer of 2009 Pig in a Poke worked on their own songs and recorded the promo of their first album, which became available on September 2009. This was followed by the appearance in Going Youth Festival 2009 in Athens and on MAD TV's show MAD DAY LIVE. For this coming winter, Pig in a Poke are programming a series of appearances all over Greece, starting with the one on ANT1 TV's Radio Arvyla show on 27/10. Check back often for more details!
